the fight intense, the flames raging. smoke just pouring out. >> the difficulties firefighter face fight egg the flames in san francisco and the people this fire left out in the cold tonight. >> the fire consumed a tire store at 16th and shotwell street in mission district. burning so intensely thick black smoke could be seen for miles. as far away as marin county. >> cornell bernard is at the scene of the developing story. this fire has displaced more than a dozen people. >> reporter: that's right. many of them are parents with small kids.

their building, right over here, has been red-tagged by the stiff of san -- the city of san franc, many looking for a new nicely. to the right, the building which once housed rolling stock tires, it is a total loss. firefighters still on scene, dousing hot spots. the fire is still smoldering inside. the fire, which took several hours to knock down. >> it was scary. >> matthew hernandez jumped out of bed ask grabbed his dog when his dad said there was a fire burning next door. >> hey, hey, fire, fire, fire. >> got out. >> yeah. >> the fire at rolling stock tire shop was intense. and quickly jumped to three alarms. more than 100 firefighters attacking the flames from all side, fueled by burning tires. the thick black smoke could be seen for miles. the roof of the shop collapsed. >> a heavy opt of material and

unway. not everyone seeing the wet weather; what watch happened. by 8:00 the low pressure begins to sink to the out and we see the coverage and intensity pick up. by 10:00 monday morning, much of the region seeing downpours and not out of the question to see a thundershower developing in the morning and afternoon hours on monday. by the afternoon and the evening, that area of low pressure pushes off to the north and east and the showers begin to taper. the key point to take away for monday, through 7:00 in the morning, the showers will be widely scattered in nature. after 7:00, and through the early afternoon hours we start to see the scattered downpours develop, and any downpour there could be an isolated thunderstorm. and with the thunderstorm, chance for isolate lightning and small hail. by 2:00, the showers will begin to taper into the evening hours. so, rainfall amounts, we're generally think big monday evening between a quarter and

half inch of rain in most locations around the bay. we have a winter weather advisely for the western slope of the sierra until tuesday morning. extended an hour later, around south lake tahoe, until tuesday. this is good. cold storm system moving in, five inches in south lake tahoe, a foot in kirkwood, and 18-inches of fresh powder around donner. overnight, cool, showers after midnight. temperatures into the 40s. along the we downpours we'll track an isolated thundershower. going to be cool and cloudy. temperatures only topping out in mid-and-upper 50s. the seven-day forecast shows you we are tracking the showers tomorrow morning, possible thundershowers as well. behind that system it's sunny, cool. we're sun-soaked on wednesday, but wednesday morning could potentially have widespread frost. so it's going to turn cool with the next system moving through. >> so time to bring the plants in. >> or cover them up.
