the presentation of colors and the pledge and national anthem and the grand marshal will say words before they load to go to the front of the parade route. people are lining on the street here on south market with veterans and their families. make sure they come here to san jose every year. >> i love it. >> he loves to have the people come up and thank him for his service. and if they call him tomorrow he would go in. immediately. >> from the city of san jose we voted last night to approve funding to move forward with one project. >> supervisor launch add if you campaign. earlier the campaign was to end veteran homeless any by 2017 called "all the way home," with a goal of house all of the estimated 700 homeless veterans living in santa clara county. city and county will commit town

at the crosses of lafayette this evening at 5:30 north of lafayette and bart staying. a full list of bay area veterans day evens is on our website at abc7news.com. >> new this morning, oakland police arrested a suspect for the deadly shooting of a popular ice cream vendor, the 23-year-old lopez shot and killed him on peep street and 93rd staff. the ice cream vendor was in the truck. crimestoppers offered $1000 reward for information and pestle release more details lopez has been charged. authorities are looking for a gunman would killed a woman and wound add woman in a freeway shopping eastbound interstate 80 near the pinole valley road exit. according to the highway pal troll they were wound by another opinion in another vehicle driving in the same direction on interstate 80. the gunfire erupted at 11 o'clock p.m. with all lanes eastbound 80 closed for several hours after the shooting.

moving. our news anchor is in the newsroom with a new development which could be a wrench if her plan. >> that is right. everyone is buzzing about a big announcement in the last few hours, the chairman and c.e.o. of disney our parent company will chair the bid for the oakland raiders and the san diego chargers. that means the carson nfl project is trying to close the deal and is more serious than before. we are tracking the last ditch pitches going on and the nfl is being so secretive about the meeting. a reporter from our sister station in san diego is outside of nfl headquarters right now in new york city where the major players are taking the garage entrance to dodge cameras. st. louis, san diego and oakland, each city gets one hour to pitch starting half an hour ago and the nfl is not saying who is going first. new carson property chairman said and i quote, "should the owners aplan the move, los angeles will proudly welcome two incredible teams to our

community and build a stadium worthy of their fans e he is a five year deal and he will be paid only a dollar a year and will have the obligation of being a minority ownership stake in the raiders or chargers later on. the oakland mayor schaaf is hoping it will not come to that because she is trying to keep raiders in oakland but made it clear she is not willing to devote public money for stadium construction. officials from st. louis and san diego have plans including athlete $300 million in public funds that she is suggesting oakland can provide cheap land for the raiders on the site and issue tax exempt bonds, and could pay more than $100 in infrastructure improvements. some analysts today are already calling her pitch "pretty hopeless." >> the decision is not expected until early next year. thank you. it was a chilly morning. >> my gosh. >> frost everywhere.

meteorologist mike nicco had the low, low temperatures. >> yes we had the threat of freezing fog at one point around american canyon and santa rosa. good morning, everyone. that is how much moisture was in the air. we will look at our temperatures you can see 32 in santa rosa and napa at 31 and inelse officially here above freezing, and up to 48 in san francisco. now, i pulled out some of our neighborhoods, and these are the temperatures i could find that were the coldest. petaluma is 29. santa rose and rohnert park at 30. american canyon is 31 and danville, at 32 degrees. while we were freezing cold they were making snow up in the sierra and more snow is on way for sunday. our nights not going to be quite so frosty but we will talk about the tule fog. coming up. >> it is warming up but early this morning you experienced the coldest morning so far this season. we caught up with people bundled

here in the east bay. look at this sign here at the sports basement: already pushing skis and snow boards. the staff here was thrilled to hear the news that some resorts would open early. this is what it looks like in lake tahoe, the resorts like what they see and alpine meadows is opening tomorrow. squaw, heavenly and several other resorts are opening on saturday. more than a week ahead of schedule. >> the news comes as a pleasant surprise to snow badder charity hill. >> very excited. it is incredible they finally open this year because last your was a bummer. we hope for el nino. >> sports basement in walnut creek said customers are getting excited. >> people are coming in. they are finding products and renting out the skis and so forth and a lot of snow boots are going for people head up to the snow. it has been a good start to the season so far. >> sports pacement owners are

this morning. the blast killed one man and 15 others were injured. the mayor of elizabeth, new jersey, in northern new jersey, says first responders do not necessity not missing person get out or is in the rubble. the house exploded is a duplex where two families lived and seven surrounding buildings are damaged. the mayor is sure it was natural gas explosion but it is not clear what set it off. >> authorities can confirm a plane crash in ohio killed nine people. take a look at fireball of the small business jet plunged into an apartment complex in akron sparking a fire that destroyed the building. no one was home at any of the apartments and most of the people on board were employ employees or executives of a real estate company and it was a mile from the destination when it went down. >> the u.n. hasbroered a deal to make it easier to monitor the location of airplanes. nations around the world have

los altos, antioch, petaluma and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. for the first time we are hearing from the canadian skier who tumbled 1,600 feet down a mountain in alaska with new incredible helmet camera video of the experience. he was shooting a scene for an upcoming ski and snow board film when he said he felt into a 5' trench and lost his footing. >> a it surprised the hurricane out of -- the heck out of the me. i knew it was game over and it would be the ride of my life. >> i felt like i was hit by linebackers. whole way down the mountain. over and over and over again. full sprinting linebackers. >> incredibly, he had the presence of mind to deploy an airbag if his backpack to prevent any major injuries and said the film crew was stunned. he let them know he was okay through a microphone inside his helmet. >> i would rather face the

linebacker. >> glad he is okay. >> it will be a lot of skiing in the future of of bay area >> a little bit of snow again on sunday so that noon the possibility of rain. before we get to that well tack about what it feels like outside, crispness in the air, a breeze, enough to remind you that, we are in the middle of november. we will take a look at walnut creek one of the areas that can dip into the 30s but the threat of forecast is over. we should not dip down into 32 degrees tonight with no frost advisories and the plants and pets you may want to protect them one more night just if case but not a frost advisory. we did have the haze because of the winds, they are light and variable and a little bit offshore. that is the key to two things, mod v.a. after fine par particue matter in the air and the fog is developing, the actual fog could be more prevalent in the commute

tomorrow than this morning. here is a look at the haze as we look from the east bay hills camera, we will tack talk about what is going to happen and what you will see is hazy sunshine today and temperatures that will try to keep you the scale maybe one-or-two degrees and you will not notice it when you step outside. now, tonight, chilly and, again, 30s and 40s, and tule fog is possible. and on sunday, sunny but dry. monday, temperature-wiz you will find a recurring theme, 62 to 65 in the south bay and cupertino at 64 and we go from 60 in millbrae to 64 in palo alto and the good news is along the coast, total sunshine, upper 50s and a very light breeze. not so brisk as it could be the downtown, south san francisco, sausalito, toward vallejo at 60 to 61 an every else in the north by at 62, and 64 degrees in santa rosa and calistoga so that is 32 degree jump from this morning. and oakland and castro valley is

64 and danville is 61, and we will have antioch and pittsburg and fairfield and pleasanton at 63, and as you look at the lows, still some 30s inland, and 40s an the bay and notice the fog is shooting through the delta, cross san pablo and into the bay so we will watch that, leyla and i, tomorrow morning, for the commute. as far as the afternoon temperatures with the sunshine we will get to 70s inland neighborhood on friday and saturday and near that around the bay and 60 at the coast and the best chance of rain from 11 o'clock saturday evening through 7:00 on sunday morning and .1" to .25" of rain. so it will be weaker than the last couple of systems. >> thank you so much. >> another reason to celebrate, athank god it's thursday and if you are a fan of "star wars" and the thursday night line up on
