>> less than two hours away from underwater explosions in the bay. we will have much more open the bay bridge implosion coming up. good morning on this saturday, november 14th. i'm chris nguyen. let's start with a first look at the forecast. frances dinglasan is in for meteorologist lisa argen. hi, frances. >> hello. we are starting off cool and clear. it will be chilly in spots later on this morning. 39 to 49 degrees this afternoon. mostly sunny skies and highs will be in the upper 50s to near 70 but get ready for the rain. it is coming in late tonight starting in the north bay, this means snow in the sierra. i'll have your complete forecast and let you know how much rain

you can expect coming up. chris. thank you. our top story this morning, the fair or attacks in paris. here's the latest. at least 127 people were skilled after a devastating day in the city of lights. that's after a series of six attacks across the french capital within 30 minutes of each other, including shootings, explosions and a hostage situation. at least 8 terrorists are dead. seven of them killed themselves when they detonated suicide vests. french officials have found a syrian passport on one attacker. the president of france has declared three days of national mourning and heightened security at its borders. isis has claimed responsibility for the attacks and it was the first of the storm in a warning to those who wish to learn. reporter fred is in paris with the overnight developments. >> at this point it's clear that at least 8 attackers have been killed by the french police. seven of those were wearing suicide vests and, indeed, blew

the suicide vests up. but at this point in time it's absolutely unclear whether that's all the attackers that took part in the raids that happened on friday night or whether or not some of the attackers might still be at large. that is certainly coming that's causing a great deal of concern here among many of the friend people here about many of people who live here in paris. a lot of people say they are going to stay indoors. french government has, in facts are urged people to not venture outside if, in fact, they don't need to do so. while many people of heeding that advice, there are others who are coming out on this saturday morning who are defying all of that, saying they will not be intimidated by terrorism. as all of that is going on, of course, the investigation is moving forward, as well. there are at least six sites where these attackers truck. the most important, and the most horrifying of these attacks happened at a theater where a rock concert was going on. more than 100 people were killed at that venue alone.

first of all the attackers moved into that building, started shooting around, and then took many people hostage before that building was raided. the french have vowed that there is going to be a tough, and as the president puts it, a merciless response. abc7 news spoke with the man who witnessed the terror. he has friends in san francisco and told us he was not able to leave his house because the army was outside his door. he lives less than a block away from one of the six sites attacked in paris, a restaurant and a bar. he told us he was you walking home with friends when he stumbled upon an unbelievably grisly seen. >> when we arrived at the corner of the street, everybody was just dead, laying in blood. and the neighbors putting blankets and covering bodies from the street. >> paris is often called the city of lights, but last night it was dark. the lights on the eiffel tower were turned off to honor the dozens of people killed.

in new york city the top of the new york world trade center was lit in blue, white and red last night, the colors of the french flag. the freedom tower will remain lit in those colors to honor the victims. san francisco is one of paris' scissor cities. people are touched by the gesture of lighting up the colors even though the colors were initially in the wrong order. people paid tribute at the trench consulate in san francisco. many who showed up are french nature i was who has been suffering deep pain. this than a year of terror in france. 11 people were killed in the offices of the charlie hebdo magazine. and then three attacked on a paris-bound train. one man visiting here was from paris. >> very sad. very sad for my family. i feel sorry to be very far

away. >> i wish i was home but in a way i am glad i wasn't but i wish i was home to be near my family and friends and in a glad i'm really glad i'm here because i have a baby. >> a french consulate employee tells us a gathering for the charlie hebdo attacks in january forced them to shut down a part of kearny street. they will have to do the same with this attack. one flight was cancelled from paris to sfo and a flight from paris to sfo last night. we spoke with a graduate student who so planning to take a group of students to paris next become. >> i'm very worried now. i'm afraid to go, especially with students from all over the world. >> nine flights from paris to san francisco today are listed as delayed. but so far none of the flights from san francisco to paris have been cancelled or delayed. the terror attacks in france are

raising security concerns in major cities across the country, including san francisco. in a statement last night, san francisco police department said it is maintaining high visibility. ceo mark beneoff is making a plea to his employees in paris. he said the sales force currently has 451 employees in paris and 204 have confirmed they are safe. we need to hear from the rest of you, call go center. they are headquartered in san francisco. still no news from san francisco based air bnb. they opened this on their website just hours before the attack. some 6,000 people are attending the conference being held in paris about two miles from the theater that came under attack. we know many of you have loved ones in france. the state department has issued did phone number for anyone

trying to get a hold of their loved ones. 5:07 is our time. now to news in san francisco. a tour bus crashed yesterday afternoon. three people who are critically injured are expected to be in jumpry today. out of control double decker tour bus crashed into several vehicles. it happened on a busy spot on friday afternoon. 20 people hurt, many went to san francisco general hospital. we know five people are currently in critical condition, including two head injuries and one with a broken leg. witnesses say the crash was loud and terrifying. >> it was a big noise. like i thought the building was falling down. >> it doesn't surprise me.

it really scares me when i see one of the buses driving around. and one near where we live. it's scary to see them coming. >> we will look at everything. we will look at any mechanical malfunctions, any dui or alcohol or narcotics as standard operating procedures for investigating collisions. >> police are still investigating what exactly went wrong. caltran's engineers are getting ready for today eases scheduled implosion on part of the old bay bridge. in a series of six charges charges will bring down a pier on the eastern span. the implosions are set for 6:45 this morning but could be moved to the around this they detect any problems. the effect on bart is expected to be minimal. traffic will be halted 15 minutes before the blast. a three day close everybody started yesterday allows for work on an underground

>> welcome back. 5:12 is our time. san francisco police are on the lookout for a gunman who shot two high school football players, killing one of them. five players grabbed the grant union high school to grab food before a playoff game. they were about a mile from campus when a person in another vehicle opened fire. one was shot in the neck and died and one shot in the arm but is expected to survive. we want to warn you about the next video. it's quite disturbing. two policeman are seen aggressively restraining a suspect. they call it a brutal beating. it's a story you see only on abc7 news. >> this is not only excessive force, but it's brutality >> the bushing video was taken

early thursday morning. the unidentified man runs from two almeda county sheriff's deputies. one of them yells stop. the deputies tackles the man as he slows down and begins to turn his head. the deputy begins hitting the suspect with his fist, as the sect deputy arrives. he pulls out his ba baton, repeatedly striking him in the head with great force and then both begin swinging the batons, hitting the man while he lies on the ground. the beating finally stops when police and other deputy sheriffs arrive on the scene. >> i heard loud smacks, smacks, smacks. i thought they were gunshots because they were super loud. >> his apartment is above where the incident occur. the screams woke him up. >> they kept screaming get on the ground, pushing him and beating him continuously. >> he rushed to the window. >> he started trying to get up and crawl away while they were beating him. that's when he started sort of screaming like stop, help me, or

something of the sort. >> san francisco public defender. >> he's on the ground. they cab easily handcuff him but they keep hitting him. >> the chief said it was nothing short of an assault. >> i look forward to hearing the police explain this conduct because as far as i'm concerned it's criminal conduct. >> the almeda county sheriff's office said the suspect stole a car, rammed a sheriffs vehicle and ended up in a chase from san leandro to san francisco where he smashed the car on stevenson street and ran. vic lee, abc7 news. >> a fairfield woman how whose young son allegedly stabbed her husband to death is in custody. police arrested him on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment and destruction of evidence. on october 24th she and husband kim aldrich got into a fight. her ten-year-old son stabbed

much. >> it was completely dismal last year. great start to the snow season. even the wet weather heading our way. we could see up to a foot of snow in tahoe. but if you are traveling there i highly advice try avoid traveling 20 and from tahoe tomorrow. it will be difficult through some of the passages. here's a look at the live radar. we are picking up clear conditions but that is going to change tonight. we will start to see increasing clouds and wet, wild weather on its way overnight. from sutro tower we are looking out toward the bay bridge. current temperatures right now range from the 40s and 50s. san francisco milder at 52. in oakland, mountain view and san jose, 44 disease. morgan hill 42. and half moon bay 41 degrees. from the exploratorium we are looking up toward transamerica tower and santa rosa. we have some cool spots in the north bay where we are only 39 degrees in santa rosa,

novato. the east bay, livermore at 39 degrees. as we look from the east bay toward the bay bridge, we will be keeping an eye on this for you with the implosion chris mentioned. here's what you need to know. the storm arrives late tonight. we will start to see some wet weather in the north bay. the heaviest rain will be in the overnight hours. tomorrow morning we will see a few showers linger. but lookout for a very blustery sunday afternoon. it won't be very pleasant tomorrow for any outdoor activities. here's a look at the radar satellite composite. you see the big band of clouds. that's going to move in. the cold storm moves through the bay area overnight. in fact, our forecast animation shows the clouds start to increase in evening. then by 11:00 p.m. we will start to see some shower activity in the very north bay, maybe near santa rosa. a few spotty showers. look at the heavy rain. the areas of yellow and closer to orange.

3:00 tomorrow morning is when we will see the heaviest stuff move through the bay area. notice it quickly leaves the bay area, as well. by 7:00 tomorrow morning just a few spotty showers all around the bay area. and then by lunchtime mostly in the clear. the afternoon tomorrow will be mostly sunny. but very windy and cold. so bundle up if you are headed out. rainfall totals for tomorrow will roughly be about half an i for everybody with more rain in the north bay, like santa rosa getting up to .67 inches, less in the east bay, and .35 in livermore and about .4-inch in san jose. also, this means snow in the sierra. avoid traveling if you can on sunday. snow levels will be dropping down to 4,000 feet. likely chains will be needed and a lot of delays. so again, it's going to be great skiing conditions today and actually the best skiing conditions will be on monday after the snow passes. so if you can hold off driving back until monday, that might be a lot of fun.

highs today will be in the 60s for the most part. 62 san francisco. 67 in san jose. 65 in oakland. and also if you are headed to the game this evening, it's going to cool down quickly at the cal memorial stadium. low 50s with a cool wind, southwest wind of 5 to 10 miles an hour. here's the accuweather seven-day forecast. so what you need to to know is the rain comes in late tonight near midnight. tomorrow will be blustery throughout the day. and known most of this is over. we will have a dry work week. fairly mild. temperatures mainly in the 60s. but because of the fairly clear skies, lookout for very cool mornings through the work week. you can see what is showing up on live doppler 7hd anytime with the abc7 news weather app. it's free on apple's app store or google play. we also have more information on abc7news.com/apps.

the french president has also declared three days of national mourning, vowing that france will defeat isis. calling the attacks an act of war. >> this morning the french president says isis is behind the attacks that killed at least 127 people. and isis has claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks that happened at six different locations. the worst carnage at this concert hall where an american rock band, eagles of death metal were performing when the gunman stormed in coming face-to-face with concertgoers. >> there were nothing. nothing in the eyes. just anger. he was determined to kill. and you know you have to do it. >> i is a you a couple of people wounded. i saw another guy with his wife and basically drenched in glad. >> many held captive and leaders

filing out, hands on their heads, telling tv they heard the attackers screaming. scheming sierra. a restaurant also came under fire. >> everyone was stunned. >> and explosions outside a packed stadium left thousands of spectators, including the french president, stunned. amid the chaos and confusion, there was also a show of patriotism. fans evacuating singing the national anthem. overseas in vienna, secretary of state john kerry said the russ will stand with the friend people. >> if they have done anything, they have encouraged us today to do even harder work to make progress and to help resolve the crises that we face. >> meanwhile french officials say they are now searching for those accomplices and out of

cosby's attorneys did not respond. he faces six separate civil suits and faces criminal prosecution in california and pennsylvania. >> a woman in pacifica is accused of fraud and theft involving disneyland. abc7 news was at the superior court for jennifer's court appearance yesterday afternoon. the former san jose resident is accused of defrauding more than a dozen people for more than $100,000. prosecutors say she posed as an employee of our parent company disney and sold fake disneyland and passes to families in santa clara county. many families traveled there and found out they had no rooms booked and couldn't even get into the park. prosecutors say it didn't stop there. >> she pretended to work for youtube, as well as intel and provided job flick toss people where they provided their personal information and she opened credit cards then in their name. the judge set bail at

morning? >> i'm. rain is come, there will be more clouds this evening and we could see the heaviest rainfall overnight. live doppler 7hd showing pretty quiet, clear conditions around the bay area. as we look live from sutro tower camera. you cap see a clear shot of the bay bridge, downtown san francisco currently at 52 degrees. oakland and mountain view it's 44. and san jose 45 degrees right now where morgan hill and half moon bay are at 41 degrees. this time, as we look from the exploreium out toward the transamerica tower we see cooler numbers in the north bay. santa rosa is only at 38 degrees, as well as livermore and novato at 39 degrees. low 40s napa, fairfield and in concord. we are looking out toward the bay blink and getting ready for that closer that's happening here at 6:45 this morning. here's what you need to know. the storm arrives late tonight. mainly by midnight.

we will see some raindrops in the north bay. heavy overnight. then turning into a few showers by tomorrow morning. then look for a very uncomfortable sunday afternoon. so if you need to do something outdoors, today would be a good day to do it. the satellite radar image those you the big band of clouds, that will move in tonight and the cold storm arrives. the forecast animation shows increasing clouds. notice by about midnight we could see some heavy rainier cloverdale. this will start to spread south in the overnight hours. the heart of the storm or the storm moves through the heart of the bay area, i should say, right around 3:00 a.m. you can see some heavy spots from vallejo and san francisco and the peninsula coast, the darker yellow. look at by 7:00 tomorrow morning we will be under cloudy conditions with still some spotty showers showing up through the morning hours. then by lunch time, mainly in the clear, but we still have a chance for a shower here and there.

but look for very windy conditions with some sunny skies by sunday afternoon. so quite blustery and uncomfortable. rain fall amounts from this system will be near half an inch for everybody. more in the north bay. in santa rosa about.67 inches and then less in some of the east bay areas like about .3-inch in livermore and about .4 in san jose. this means, of course, snow in the sierra where we could see up to a foot in some of the highest elevations. look for nine inches in kirkwood. snow levels will be dropping down. you will need chains if you are driving to and from tahoe tomorrow. and bring a lot of patience, as well. if you can hold off until monday that might be a much safer drive. high today in the 60s. 62 san francisco. oakland 65, san jose 67 degrees. also keep in mind there's a beach hazard statement in effect through this afternoon. look out for large surf, sneaker waves and strong rip currents if

you are headed to the coast. lows tonight a little milder with all the cloud cover and rain. mainly in the upper 40s to low 50s with the heaviest rain moving through in the overnight hours. in case you are wondering how we are doing season to date, it ranges above normal at moffett field but well below normal in san francisco. again, we can certainly use the rain. and it is a promising start to the wet season. so get ready. it's coming late tonight. tomorrow very wet early morning hours and a blustery afternoon. then look for sunny and mild conditions through the work week, but with less cloud cover. we will see a very chilly morning. >> thank you so much. turning to sports, a full slate of college football today. san jose plays reno. and oregon battles stanford down on the farm. the cardinals can clinch the pac-12 north with the win. and northern state takes on cal at memorial stadium.
