embryos. that's what a judge is ordering a san francisco woman to do after a nasty fight with her ex-husband to save them. good evening. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. it was an emotional case between a divorced couple involving the frozen embryos they created. >> katie is live in the newsroom with the reason this family's saga may not be over just yet. >> because of cancer treatments and her age she can no longer have children, but she and her ex-husband do have frozen embryos. they also have a contract to destroy them in case of divorce. the judge ruled in favor of upholding the contract they signed. the fertility doctor said it is the right decision. >> if the the court said well these are not going to stand up to scrutiny in these kinds of cases, all of the work we do will predetermine what will happen and could be thrown out. >> leigh said she is disappointed and is evaluating her legal options. back in august she told gma

france. just released video shows the scary scene as authorities raided an apartment in the terror attacks. >> now more on what lead authorities to the apartment building. >> now we go to paris for the late details. >> french officials say they believe the terror cell was plotting another attack that was foiled in the early morning raid. >> new video of the moment that explosive siege targeting the mastermind began. french s.w.a.t teams trying to bust in and running into a reinforced door. and once inside met by gunfire. terrified families shocked awake by the barrage of

bullets. when it was all over eight arrested and two dead. a woman who detonated a suicide belt and another person killed by a grenade. this cell phone video shows them striping their clothing away from the scene. >> so far the french prosecutor said the isis leader is not among the people arrested, but it is not clear if he was killed. and stunning new images from the daily mail of friday's deadly rampage captured on a cafe surveillance camera. an attacker opens fire. he walks out of the frame and then reappears taking aim at a customer outside, but his weapon jams and he moves on. seconds later the would be victim pops up and escapes. >> they are looking for two suspects who carried out the

i caught up with a woman from the east bay who is the sole bread winner in her family. so they were taking money out of her check to pay for a bill that wasn't hers. >> she lived in oakland and worked for the allah miga county social service agency. she works people every day. but she needed help after getting a shocking call last year. >> we are calling regarding a debt and there has been a judgment placed on you and we want to resolve the debt in 2004 they bought a $2,600 credit card from chase that they believed belonged to christie. they served it to chrisy's old address and somebody there signed the papers. >> i can honestly tell you i didn't believe the judgment. >> she believes somebody stole her identity and opened the card. ted merman says companies buy

debt for pennies. >> right now under existing law if a debt buyer has gone into court and filed a lawsuit and got a judgment against you and if they wait more than two years you are out of luck. >> that happened nine years ago. >> she got a call this year threatening to garnish her paychecks. >> she said how about you leave your debit card information on my message. >> what company would ask you to leave your debit card information on the voicemail? i let it go. i said this is a scam. >> it wasn't. soon after the courts allowed the agency to take out $250 from her paycheck. the original $2,600 debt has grown to $8,000. >> there is fees that get put

on, attorneys fees, court costs. >> she works for the east bay community law center and she is helping christie in her fight. she is barely able to make ends meet. >> i have to cut things off and let things go and i'm okay with that. as long as i have a roof over my head i'm okay. >> they signed a bill to help consumers fight judgments and stop wage garnish ments for debt that is not theirs. the bill becomes law in january. >> they will have the opportunity to go into court and to tell the judge, you're honor this isn't my debt. >> we were with christie when she went to court to file the counter lawsuits against the collection agencies. >> the collection agency says they will no longer garnish their wages and they will return all of the money. >> i feel relieved. i feel like i can breathe again. >> get this. the e experts believe tens of thousands of californians are in the same boat.

it is here. it developed near the equator in the pacific. and so it is warmer than average waters. really what does it mean when you compare it to previous el ninos? 1982 and 1983 was the second strongest on record. 1997, 1998, the first strongest on record. i want to show you rainfall during the winter and springtime. i am stepping aside so you can see the numbers. san francisco received 26 inches of rain. oakland over 29 inches and san jose more than 22 inches and 97 and 98 san francisco and oakland over 35 inches of rain. and that's counting three to four months worth. the entire year typically in the bay area we average between 15 to 30 inches of rain. we have the potential -- i i am not saying we will do a rerun of this, but we have the potential to see hefty rainfall if it continues this upcoming winter. we are waiting to see the affects. highs under sunny skies, they were milder than normal in places like santa rosa, 75.
