broadcast center, this is abc 7 news. good evening, thank you for joining us. the focus of a broad anti-terror crackdown has shifted now from paris to brussels. belgium's capital city is now all but locked down after massive security after the government warned the terrorists were poised to strike just as they did last week in paris. and the man suspected in the attacks in paris is believed to be on belgian soil. >> reporter: on the streets of brussels police and soldiers out-numbered the civilians, as the government raised their terror level high. >> it is a serious and imminent threat. >> reporter: that put the belgian capital on edge and on

guard. >> there is less people out, that probably means terrorists are not going to bomb anybody. >> reporter: adding to those fears, police believe that somebody who may be the man who got away, salah abdeslam, believed to be the gunman who was shot here in the video. two of his friends now under arrest admit they picked him up in paris after last week's terror attacks and drove him back to his native belgium. police call him armed and dangerous. in paris, authorities are trying to learn how the alleged mastermind of the killers, abdelhamid abaaoud, was able to gather the terrorists. at the concert hall, where most of the people were murdered, the american band eagles of death metal, they described the slaughter. >> several people were able to hide in the dressing room and

the terrorists got in and killed everybody except a kid that was hiding under the jacket. >> reporter: and it seems like terror situations like this seem to be worse. >> and in the threat in belgium you can always get breaking news any time by downloading our abc 7 news app and enabling push alerts. and tonight, rohnert park police are searching for a man who they say is armed and dangerous. vasquez is accused of shooting his esstranged wife. the couple had recently separated. police say he threatened her just days earlier. fortunately the woman is expected to survive. and police in antioch are on the lookout for gunmen who shot three people, happening about 9:00 p.m. on sycamore drive. now you can see the victims

loaded onto the ambulances. right now investigators are talking to witnesses and gathering evidence. they have not told us the conditions of the victims. and in san francisco, an out of control pickup truck hit and killed a woman who was just out walking along lake merced, the woman who was driving the truck went to the hospital. police are looking to the possibility that her brakes failed. and in the crocker amazon area, police are looking for a driver who stole a car and then rammed it into a police officer. no officers were hurt in that incident. and another blow to the dungeoness crab season that could likely hit your wallet. two more states have postponed that because of the possible e. coli outbreak. what it means for a bay area holiday tradition. >> reporter: hope for a crab season is fading faster than the sun. the fishing boat, high hopes,

puttered into port where the captain says that the delay of the season is devastating. for third generation fishermen, john miller, two thirds of his yearly income is made during the dungeoness harvest. but a large algae bloom has caused a serious threat to miller's livelihood. >> just tighten our belt and not spend any money. and try and get through. >> i wish they were out in the water so we could have some crab this holiday season but it looks like we'll have to import. >> reporter: the crab will come from somewhere, says téz manager of this cafe. >> we're getting updates every day and trying to find out what is the latest. >> reporter: but it's with baited breath. now oregon and parts of the washington coast are delaying crab season. >> for us, it will be quality, but just not from where we normally go and catch it.

the picture, outside, we show you the embarcadero, all lit up with their christmas lights right now, just clear skies in parts of the area. november splendor, a repeat performance by mother nature tomorrow. tracking light showers on tuesday, bringing about the changes. the storm system dropping in from the north, tapping in cool, canadian air, cold air on the way for thursday and friday. another mild, november day out there. a bit of a chill out there with temperatures in the 30s in some of the shelter valleys. lots of sunshine, high clouds filtering in. by 4:00, mid-60s to mid-70s on the board. future weather picks it up from there. monday a dry day, by tuesday, here comes the system dropping in from the north. light showers making their way into the north bay by tuesday morning. light showers spreading throughout the entire region by tuesday afternoon. what you notice is the heavier moisture to the east of the region. this system is a quick mover,

already out if you're at the tail end of it by tuesday evening. so in terms of total rainfall we'll probably look at a tenth of an inch in most spots. behind this system, this is the bigger story, dragging in some of the coldest air we've seen so far this season. so future tracker temperatures shows you by thursday morning on thanksgiving morning look at this, widespread 30s across the board. 39 in san francisco, 33 in concord, 34 in san jose and a chilly 35 in napa. and pretty much for black friday if you're going to be out there early, bundle up, temperatures will be chilly mainly in the 30s across the bay area. so overnight tonight compared to those numbers it will feel kind of mild out there. 50 in san francisco, 46 in san jose, 46 in oakland, 38 in napa and 46 in antioch, some delta fog will develop. monday, cool start, mild in the afternoon in the south bay. 74 san jose, same in santa clara, and 73 for los gatos, 69

walking, the truck jumped the curve and ran in a ditch, police are looking at failure of his brakes. and in belgium, a reaction to last week's attacks that killed more than 120 people in paris. in brussels, the streets were basically deserted with a heavy security presence, the u.s. embassy in belgium is urging americans to stay inside. and meanwhile, at a donald trump rally, one person yelling black lives matter got hit and kicked to the ground, at one point a woman kicked him and the man punched him. trump called for the man to be taken out. meanwhile, the other controversy, the gop candidate suggested that police should keep an eye on american muslims and where they worship. >> i want surveillance of these people. i want surveillance of certain mosques, okay, if that is okay. >> well, trump says he believes

that public sentiment is shifting. >> most people think about not getting blown up. that is the most important thing for them. >> in san francisco, jonathan bloom, abc 7 news. hillary clinton announced she knew the woman killed in the attack on friday. gunmen took over in the west african nature killing 18 people, one of them, anita datar, who is the former partner of a senior adviser who served her while she was in the senate. she added datar was a bright light who helped people. she spent time in the bay area and her brother is a doctor here in san francisco. hundreds of flights cancelled or delayed across the u.s. because of the winter storm that hit the midwest. including a handful of bay area flights. if you like snow, you would love being in that right now.

some parts of wisconsin saw up to 20 inches, that storm is moving on to the eastern u.s. and now to canada and now the real cold weather is settling in to the midwest. a bay area health ñiwatchdo is suing the maker of e-cigarettes. the issues are proper warning labels required by state law. the health department says the product contains at least ten chemicals with the potential to cause cancer. they want new labels warning about at least two of those. and these are just harmless water vapor coming from these devices. it is an aerosol with particulate matter and toxins. legislation that would have regulated e-cigarettes in the same way as tobacco products failed in the state assembly earlier this year. and medical marijuana growers are soon going to be

able to use special couriers to deliver pot. right now transporting medical weed on state county or federal roads is risky for growers. >> well, right now if you're trying to transport from the farm to the dispensary, there is no real log. so can you get pulled over? can your -- you know, your money or crop get confiscated? >> now, some people fear the new legal form of drug trafficking could put public safety at risk. they also say drug cartels get involved, that is part of their concern. santa clara county threw a private party tonight for 19 children just beginning a new journey. abc 7 was there in san jose as they shut down for national adoption day. all the children here are celebrating joining a forever family. nationally more than 100,000 kids in the foster system are still waiting to be adopted into there are children all over the
