that crash happened at broadway and montgomery 2:20 this morning. lilian kim is there live now with the breaking details. >> reporter: police say officer chris kohrs was going westbound when he hit two people crossing the street. it happened at around 2:20 a.m. police say officer kohrs was off-duty when he was dry his oncer dodge charger up broadway when he collide with the two pedestrians. withs say one flew into the air after being struck. police say the officer then abandoned his car and took off. the two pedestrians are expected to survive but witnesses describe a scary scenario as they saw two men lying on the ground. >> some guys move but the other guy cannot move. then i come take the guy and emergency. >> the car was right here but i didn't see anyone get out of it or anything. all the doors were shut.

the lights were on. just looked like somebody pulled up, stopped, got out of the car and left. >> reporter: police found officer coster and arrest him and wouldn't comment who he was under the influence at the time of the accident. kohrs became a local celebrate and social media sensation last year when residents began posting pictures of him because of his good looks. now officer kohrs faces two charges of felony hit-and-run. live in san francisco, abc7 news. >> thank you. we now know the anymore of a young woman killed while trying to speed away from police in san ramon, police tell us 19-year-old hannah meacham of livermore died when a stolen honda slammed into a tree. you can see how the impact series the car into two sections. two passengers were badly hurt in the crash. danville officers trade to stop the car for a traffic violation just moments earlier. all lanes of northbound 101

are open again near highway 37 after a deadly crash forced all but one lane to close around 2:30 this afternoon. officers say that's when this white toyota camry veered across all five lanes of traffic, clipping a car, going up an embankment and then flipping on to an escalade driving along the frontage road. the woman passenger in the camry died. the man driving is in critical condition. the driver of the escalade suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. >> there's a manhunt on the peninsula for a man suspectedded of killing his girlfriend. police are looking for anthony kirincic. he is considered armed and dangerous. cornell bernard is in the neighborhood where neighbors say domestic violence had been reported at the victim's house before. >> reporter: that's right in fact police are keeping a very close eye on this house and continue to search for the suspect. so far no sign of him. in fact, they are looking at

this house just in case he returns here. neighbors say there's been a very long history of domestic violence at this address. >> she didn't deserve this, real request sweet person. >> he is devastate about the murder of his neighbor, colleen straw. he says her boyfriend, now the prime suspect, was bad news. >> been kind of creepy for the last year. we have been dealing with him. >> as soon as i saul the barricade is thought, okay, he finally did it. >> reporter: neighbors feared for straw who left that his house. they say her boyfriend, anthony kirincic was vie represent. this neighbor spoke to us. >> every day there would we two or three batches of screaming at the top of her lungs. usually her voice this one i would hear, usually telling him to get out. >> police say the suspect stabbed straw at her hone only saturday and to took off. she later died. they found his car in san car roz and ewalk waited a nearby

urgent care clinic. police searched the building but no sign of the suspect. police say the victim's home was sadly familiar to responding officers. >> that particular dread we're working the homicide investigation at, we have been to for a number of finder domestic violence. >> neighbors say straw had a restraining order against the suspect but he kept coming around. >> i saw him two days ago come back and he was standing out front on the street, staring out her front door. i walked over and said, what are you doing some and he just put his head down and walked away. >> makes people feel it's their hoe u.s.house. >> she is director of the community overcoming relationships abuse, women's shelter in san mateo county. she can't say if colleen straw was a client but knows she is not blame. >> very easy to blame the victim for returning to the batterer. i think it's just very important for us to remember that shrub chose to take someone's life. >> he suspect is considered armed and dangerous. if you see him, call 9-1-1.
