ran inside a toyings "r" us. the ordeal came certainly as a shock to everyone in that store. when we finally got out, i think that's where reality hit everybody. >> now, the store was evacuated. no one inside was injured. but this was over just a short time ago. >> traffic is finally getting back to normal. all lanes of southbound 101 reopened about an hour and a half ago. a truck overturned and spilled debris on the entire roadway. the driver of the truck amazing to be able to crawl through that windshield and get out. abc 7 news reporter daifrd louis joinings us on the silver overpass. repair workers are still underway. >> this is exactly where the accident happened. as you can see, cal tra 234rks s workers have been here most of the afternoon trying to repair a fence that was damaged. they're putting in a temporary

fence and then the overpass should be open soon. >> all you heard was air. that was it, you know mplts it was going too fast. >> that was the first time this debris truck was in trouble. witnesses saw it speeding eastbound. it instruction a light pole. that impact caused the truck to roll on its side some of the construction debris spilled on to the freeway but no one was hurt. what surprises witnesses is no pedestrians were hurt as the truck crossed the busy intersection. a little bit earlier and it would have been filled with school kids. >> that's the pads over the rim. that's where they walk to two to school. >> so a lot of lucky people today. >> lucky. the luckiest one is the driver. >> shahadi ran to the truck to help the driver who was trapped
