hospital tested positive for tuberculosis. laura anthony is live from the medical center with more on the story. laura? >> reporter: hi, dan, this nurse has no symptoms but she did test positive for active tuberculosis. so hundreds of adults exposed to her over three months will be screened, the babies actively treated. >> not every baby born during this time was exposed to the employee with tuberculosis. >> stopping short of calling it an emergency, officials at the santa clara valley medical center say it's important they proactively treat 350 infants after they were possibly exposed to a nurse with active tuberculosis. >> infants have an immature immune system. they don't necessarily localize the infection to their lungs. it can unfortunately get into

the bloodstream and travel throughout the body. >> the hospital is reaching out to babies and moms in the newborn nursery and had contact with the nurse between mid august and mid-november. >> the context is babies. that is why the hospital is taking it quite seriously and appropriately because those babies do need to be followed. >> the nurse for tb was diagnosed when she underwent treatment for an unrelated illness. >> she does have active tuberculosis she does not have cough and did not have cough. so it is not coughing up tuberculosis during the period of time she was working. >> tb is typically spread true the air by coughing and sneezing. valley medical center set up a call center to answer questions and concerns. in san jose, laura anthony, abc7 news. police have just released the names of the five officers

involved in last week's fatal shooting of 46-year-old mario wood. the officers are charles august, scott phillips and antonio santos. all of these officers are on administrative leave. the police department is facing a civil rights lawsuit filed by the family today, claiming woods refused to drop a steak knife, even when officers pepper sprayed him and fired bean bags at him. attorneys for the woods family say video disputes accounts of what happened. >> that whatever was happening he did not raise his hands in a threatening manner before the shots were leashed against him. >> he was the best of me. and he redeemed himself.

are high in santa clara, despite threats. fbi drivers spent another day looking for a computer hard drive belonging to the couple that killed 14 people last wednesday. the couple died a short time later in a shootout with police. crash investigators are looking into the fatal crash of a medical helicopter on the way to san joaquin community hospital last night with a pilot, a nurse, a paramedic and patient on board. they were all killed when the chopper went down. investigators will look at human error, mechanical malfunction and obstacles such as bad weather. san francisco firefighters this evening recovered the body of a man found floating near
