over the waldo grade on to the golden gate bridge you have four lanes. for southbound commute. clear the smooth sailing. busy on the east shore freeway. to the macarthur maze everyone is at the limit. but getting busy at this hour. >> it is 5:01. a goal provide police officer is on paid leave this morning while detectives investigate a fatal shooting that took a man's life. matt is in gilroy. matt? >> yes, gilroy police say they have finish up the investigation and are keeping the scene secure so when daylight comes they can take pictures of the scene. this started around 7:00 last night here in gilroy and the 9-1-1 center received several cars complaining of a violent domestic indidn't 20 a man and a woman and an apartment. the police captain said when the officers approached the complex the man came out. >> the carport out they met halfway between the, magazine lot and the apartment, and some

interaction occurred and the officer health he needed to discharge the beach. he fired at the suspect. he struck him. the suspect went to the ground. >> the man kid at scene. police say it is fought clear what happened between the officers and the suspect before the shooting or whether the plan was armed. the officer who fired has been identified as a four year veteran of the gilroy police department. he was not injured. his name is not released. the suspect has not been identified. police say it is not clear the relationship between the suspect and the woman involved in the domestic violence call. the officer involved has been placed on leave. that is fin california when an officer fired a gun in the line of duty. >> developing news in san jose, police are looking for a man would shot a 17-year-old girl after stealing her car. the teen is in the hospital and expected to recover. police say she left her car running at the park and saw the

man stealing her car. the pice say do not do this they followed him and when he stopped they banged on his window. he shot the girl and took off and ditched the car. we will have more at 5:30. >> police in berkeley are looking for the suspects involved in a hit-and-run accident ensure didn't last night, this cell phone video was taken just after midnight at scene at alcatraz and sacramento near the oakland border. the car was speeding and took off after the crash. >> from brentwood, breaking news loving the hoverboards. a little girl charged this, stood on the board and it began popping and bittering interest films much the family members dragged it away. can you see the smoke damage from the flames. this is the latest in a string of hoverboard fires. our reporter will have a report from brentwood in the next half hour. >> the rain we saw over the
