>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. hundreds of los angeles school buses are sitting idle because of "electronic threat." all classes are canceled and constitutes are staying home while authorities search every school in los angeles. >> i am eric thomas. >> i am kristen sze. >> officials have finished a news conference. the threat came in this morning and a full investigation is underway. janet o is in the newsroom with the latest. >> leaders say the recent shootings in san bernardino and abroad led them to take the swift action this morning as soon as they learned that several school board members received an e-mail threat that

talked about an attack involving assault rave goals and explosives. the ip address was traced back to frankfurt, germany. >> as superintendent i will not take the chance with the lives of the students. >> unified school district superintendent ramon cortines got a call this morning from school police about a credible terror threat. >> he shared with me that some of the details talked about backpacks, talked about other packages. it was not to one school, two will schools or three schools, it was many schools. not specifically identified. >> this is the second large of the in the nation with more than 640,000 students. more than 900 schools. a few hours later new york city officials said they received similar threats to their schools but determined it was a hex. l.a. unified is in the process of investigation.

last night around 7:00, police were called to the small apartment complex for a possible domestic violence call. >> this girl was yelling and screaming and i her three shots, one, two, three. >> a police can't said the shots were fired from the gun of a four-year veteran of the gilroy police department. a neighbor then heard more yelling. >> she said, why did do you that? you did not have to do that. he cannot bracket. he is choking. >> man died at the scene. the apartment manager said that two women just moved in to the upstairs unit two weeks ago and young men and women have been coming and going. a couple downstairs were not home. the man died steps from their front door. >> there is blood all over the floor. i am surprised -- i don't want my daughters do see that. >> he discovered this, a bullet hole through the front of his apartment. another in his living room wall and a big hole in his bedroom
