indicted adam schoffee atempb attempting to join the terrorist group. in the fbi's affidavit, it says adam sent a text message to relative one that said he had gone to protect muslims. schoffee went to istanbul, turkey and then returned home to the bay area. his father reported more concerning details. adam may have been following extreme imams online and that some of his high school friends were of the same mind set. the f.b.i. started listening to phone conversations in june of this year with investigators saying adam also stated that america is the aenmy. and he wanted to fight with extremists. in late june, schoffee booked a one-way tick et.

someone fired at a car wounding one person. this happened late this afternoon. that victim is expected to survive. a highway patrol says there was no threat to the public and the shooting has not affected traffic. >> a recorded warning went out to families across san francisco today after an online threat was made against the city's public 1k508s. district officials said five employees received that threatening e-mail overnight. the message resembled one to close earlier this week. the f.b.i. consulted with the school district. about 130 schools opened as scheduled after trained employees checked out each campus. >> this woman now faces criminal charges after being accused of attacking a muslim man with hot coffee. we showed you this cell phone video. the east bay reejsal park police say he faunted several men about their faith.

>> it's hard to believe but it's been almost a decade since all of these guys were together. although this is the newest star wars in the series, much of it was shot on film. this is the one place that you can see it projected on the medium that it was shot on. that star wars movie has attracted fans from far and wide. some of them have come from all over the place, seemingly, all over the galaxy, to see it right here. although they've all bought tickets in vansz, they've been lining up since 6:30 in the morning to get that perfect seat. inside, they've been busy splicing into a single print that's nine miles long. they'll start that first show promptly at 7:00. outside, the costumes and accessories have been getting wilder as the show draws closer. try to beat this, a couple that

the evening rush could be very slow going. in the south bay, 6:00 p.m. some light rain. we're looking at light to moderate at 8:00 p.m. still really covering a good part of the bay area. 10:00 p.m., it's over the east bay, the peninsula, the south bay. and then we get some scattered showers 2:00 a.m. saturday. hopefully, you'll be sleeping 5:00 a.m. if you don't have plans, those showers will be through here pretty quickly. most of your saturday morning is fine, your sunday morning is fine. still, rainfall with this first storm. pretty healthy amounts here. we're looking at over an inch in places like santa rosa, half-moon bay. most other areas, a half to three quarters of an inch. the winter storm watch tomorrow afternoon through saturday afternoon expecting 6-12 inches of snow. expect major delays if you're going up for the holidays. winter weather advisory for tahoe 7:00 p.m. to noon
