seeing some moderate to heavy rain. now, the rain is starting to slide towards san francisco and the east bay. so let's go in a little bit tighter here. you'll notice a very light rainfall around berkley, kensingt kensington, richmond and even in san francisco, a few drops developing around the sun set district. as i showed you the next six hours, you will notice that the steady rain will slide in. we are seeing flight delays of almost four hours. if you're heading out tonight to do some holiday shopping, make sure you have your raincoat with you. i'll be back to tell you about the next storm that's coming. >> well, the wealther is putting travel at international airport. officials there say some arriving flights have seen delays up to an hour or everyone a bit more.

janet, that's really encouraging to hear. >> it is. it's very encouraging to hear. especially around the holidays when it can be a little bit tougher for people to find jobs. the employment development department is the first place many people come when they are looking for a job. but, today, it wasn't as busy as it usually is. that's because santa clara county is seeing an explosive number of jobs being added. something that hasn't been seen since the % com boom. >> the tech industry is driving the explosive job growth. apple's physical expansion is just one sign of how much the valley is expanding as well. >> certainly the tech industry is related in manufacturing. >> from october to november, a 50-100 jobs were added. that's not all. the fastest job growth in the state.

this time of year. live doppler 7 hd will show you where the rain has been falling. right noi, i'm going to take you around the north bay for the fairfax area with that light to moderate rain. as you'll notice here, now reporting some very light rain. it's starting to spread. taking you down to street level here crossing 80, a very slick evening commute. san francisco, daily city area, just picking up some very spotty-like spripgles. to the north, watching the snow develop here. it hasn't hit the tahoe area, but it eventually will.

lovely view from our santa cruz camera. live look from our kgo roof camera. it is cloudy. rain spreads tonight. here's a look at the current storm. it is a 1. wid spread rain with up to an impbl of rain. 6:00 tonight, even the east bay getting some pockets of mot rat rain. make sure you have your rain gear with you, it's going to be pretty widespread. you will need your umbrellas as we head towards the east bay. >> a few showers behind the system.

and it will continue until 5:00 a.m. in the east bay. lingering showers around 10:00 a.m. but notice we start to get a break as we head towards the afternoon hours. rainfall totals will vary from a third of an inch to almost an inch there in santa rosa. now, we will see another storm coming in, but this where you know prompting a winter storm warning. >> if i were you, just make sure you get up there quickly. obviously. or wait until the storm has passed. snow in is sierra could be over a foot there. tomorrow morning, just a few scattered showers. temperatures low 40s to the upper 40s. and then as we head towards the afternoon hours, you'll get that break. mostly 50s across the bay area.
