police say he lay on a stop sign, refusing to pull over. mathis crashed into a hydrant drant, look at that, killing his passenger. he ran away from the crash. police arrested him nearby. mathis and heinz were cousins. >> investigators in santa clara county determined a human skull found in los gatos was a male. officials still have to do more testing to figure out how old the man was. the search did not turn up other remains. >> update now to a story on 7 last night. the california public utilities commission concerning a tour bus company ran two buses not registered as commercial vehicles as required by the vehicle code. they had place meant for a car. the ceo says she exchanged the

plates. cpuc says they cannot be operated unless reregistered. >> new numbers showing california's unemployment rate dropping. the jobless rate dropped to 5.7%. in alameda, it's 4.4%. in san francisco, 3.4%. and santa clara county added the highest number of jobs in the past >> reporter: the folks here say it's easy to see the tech company is booming and has a domino effect in other industries. your eyes are not deceiving you. there is more congestion in the south bay because an explosive number of jobs were added last

of showers moving through san francisco. much of the activity is focused along the peninsula, south bay and east bay. and into kicks in. about three quarters of an inch in that location. a winter storm warning for the western slopes and a winter weather advisory for snowfall, likely seeing a foot in donner and over that in kirkwood. an inch or two by south lake tahoe. tomorrow morning the storm will be out of here. overnight tonight, temperatures falling into the 40s, if you're like me, 9:00 we'll have scattered showers and cloudy by
