look for her, but couldn't. couldn't find her. >> reporter: they would never have thought to look nearly four miles away on center road. that's where lee yin was around 3:00 a.m. a driver crashed into her. when he stopped to help, another driver slammed into her too. that person was driving a silver saturn and kept on going. >> she want the driver to get caught. >> reporter: she's the 54th person to die in a crash this yee, the third this week alone. monday a woman riding her bike in south san jose was hit by a pickup truck. she died immediately. the sisters heard about that crash and were just talking about it. >> they keep already in mind her mom to be careful. for when you are walking outside. unfortunately, this thing happened to her. >> reporter: police are on the lookout for the driver of the

silver saturn. police in berkeley are calling a man's death inside a fraternity house suspicious. officers found the man unresponsive in front of the pi kappa fy house. they tried to use cpr but were unsuccessful in resuscitating the man. >> we've been talking to witnesses and members of the fraternity, examining evidence to figure out exactly what happened. >> police say the man was in his early 20s. autopsy results are pending. palo alto, anthony ray price is in the santa clara jail for attempted auto burglary and several misdemeanor charges. police say a private security officer detained him as he was trying to break into a car. investigators say price was under the influence of drugs at the time. still to come on abc 7 news at 11:00, it's never good when you get a ticket but a special surprise to drivers from napa police officers resulted in smiles. plus a possible delay for

novato. oakland. sunnyva sunnyvale. all the bay area. this is abc 7 news. one person found dead after a car plunged into the waters of the oakland else due water. rescue swimmers searched for more possible victims but did not locate anyone. the initial call came in around 7:00 a.m. reporting possibly three people trapped in the vehicle at blanding avenue and broadway. the suv sunk about 15 feet. drivers pulled out the body of a man believed to be the driver.

shortly after the crash a man working nearli ran over and dove in to help but didn't have any luck. >> i jumped into the water, tried to get down in there. moment i go under water, it becomes completely black. i can't see my hands. i looked a little bit. i couldn't even find the car. >> he came out of the water unhurt as alameda fire arrived on the scene. some christmas cards may be slightly delayed after a truck filled with mail flipped onto its side in san francisco. the driver of the big rig crashed and the truck overturned onto the caesar chavez street. thousands of letters spilled onto the road. chp says the driver was speeding. >> driver was fine. he did say he believes he might have fallen asleep. doesn't remember overturning. he was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons. >> no boxes or packages were on the truck. dozens of postal workers raced to pick up the dumped mail to deliver. bay area retailers expanded their hours for last-minute

police say he tried to start another fight with them. >> the suspect picked up a metal stool within the emergency room and it was about that time that the officer tried to use a taser, this didn't work. then a witness stated that the suspect reached for one of the officer's guns. >> that's when an officer fired one shot at him. doctors and nurses rushed the man into surgery but he later died. memorial services have ended for three of the 14 people killed in the san bernardino terrorist attack. in services today relatives were called sierra clayborn's smile and sweet sea mean. michael wetzel's family spoke about his love for his six children. relatives of all 14 victims met privately with president obama in san bernardino. they shared stories about their loved ones. also today the family of the husband and wife responsible for those deaths was at the couple's red lands town home removing
