the crashes. matt? reggie this is a wet morning in san jose. police say it is not the rain but a drink driver who caused problems on road across the city. the san jose police say a driver of a black ford expedition hit six vehicles in a one mile stretch of road. the first was in den they -- denny's parking lot and the final crash was at center ride going through a red light hilting a yellow vw beetle that was pushed forward into the intersection account driver of the vehicle was killed at the scene. half colliding with the second vehicle, our suspect then hit a third vehicle which disabled his vehicle. >> driver of the vw who was killed is described as a man about 30 and the hit-and-run driver a 19-year-old was not injured and backed into jail with felony d.u.i. with moran

los altos, antioch, petaluma, and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. >> welcome back. as you head out the door be ready for wet roads. and windy conditions. amy hollyfield is in novato where the winds are causing problems. amy? the wind is very strong. as you can see. trying to stand straight up. look behind me, it toppled a tree and crews are working hard to get it cleared blocking hill road all morning long. the tree came down at 3:30 this morning. here is the base of it, in a case of trees you can see how thick it was at 30 president -- 30' tall and the wood is hard so that made it difficult to chop it up and get it out of here. they have been here since 3:30 and they almost have it cleared. they three hours into the job. no one was hurt when the tree came down.
