meteorologist drew tuma tracking this next storm. when is it getting here. >> we are tracking the rain moving in mid-day tomorrow. so live doppler 7hd right now, kind of preparing before the storm. the clouds overhead. as we zoom in closer there are return's live doppler 7hd but the latest observation shows this is not reaching the ground. we do have the "spare the air" currently in effect, but air quality is just fine across much of the region from the north bay, inland but still illegal to burn through the midnight hour. looking at the evening ahead, we'll have the clouds upstairs. that's going to help to insulate us so we won't track freezing temperatures overnight. no freeze warnings in effect. by 11:00 with the clouds, all locations are above freezing. heading into sunday, the clouds are going to give way to rain. the storm impact scale tomorrow, this next stolen will be a one. light in nature. we're tracking a series of storms after this one that much

stronger. we'll have the forecast in a minute. >> storms at sea headed our way may have played a role in a fishing boat wreck this morning. i it got stuck another on some rocks in china camp park. >> the downfall was the wind. the wind wasn't so rough, we could have made it. >> night the way the new year's fishing trip was supposed to end, after the 30-foot commercial fishing vessel, jenna j, lost engine power and was headed for the shoreline rocks at china camp state park. >> a little unnerving. >> a little bit. >> the captain matt phillips says the seas were rough saturday and the winds were fierce. >> blowing 15 knots or 20, pretty rough. blew is right up fast.

a sound of cracking flames woke them up. the family lost everything, an estimated $300,000 worth of items, including christmas presents. today the family got a special donation. their story touched the hearts of a lot of people, including the firefighters who helped put out the flames. members of the vallejo fire department, local 1186, and community members, dipped into their open pockets to give the family back some of what they lost. >> we really appreciate it a lot. means a lot to my family to myself, never thought this would ever happen. >> the family received money, checks, and bags full of toys. they're living with relatives right now but the money and general kindness will help them give a boost to them to find a new home. a water main breaks and hundreds of gallons of water gush into a south bay neighborhood this morning. we were in san jose as crews repaired a six-inch main on the

the office complex in southern california the site of a mass shooting exactly one month ago will re-open on monday. a spokesman for the center says both bryants and employees will get a sense of comfort with the building operating and open. "los angeles times" reports the conference center where the shooting took place remains closed and has an uncertain future. the complex is line with a security fence and nip entering will have their i.d.s checked. a silent tribute to remembrance and outrage was installed on the campus. a 43-sill wests, each representing a missing student teach in mexico in 2014 the students were attacked, kidnapped and presumably killed in a small mexican town. professors on campus believe the corruption between police and politicians in mexico led the protesting teachers to be handed over to a drug cartel. happening now. the golden state warriors going after another record.

tracking scattered showers in the north bay. by the early afternoon here comes the rain, first along the coast and then spreading inland in the afternoon and evening hours. by sunday night, 10:00, likely tracking steady light showers before the first system dough parts monday morning. so in terms of rainfall issue think we'll see a wide range elm the heaviest along the coast, and moving inland the numbers drop off. livermore, maybe a tenth inch, and santa rosa, close to three-quarters of an inch of rain. a stronger storm will move in tuesday, and into wednesday. this will be a two on the storm impact scale. half inch to inch half of rain and gusty winds. gusts between 20 and 40 miles-per-hour. so we'll jump ahead into your tuesday morning. by 5:00 tuesday morning, it does look like the morning rush will be wet, but also rather windy, and future weather, i want to point out not raining every minute of the day on tuesday.

likely see breaks in the wet weather, but there will be more rain on the way by wednesday, and morsteady showers looking to last wednesday evening, and then we're tracking another storm moving in thursday, and friday. and an additional half inch to an inch and a half of rain, this when flooding concerns are an issue. with all the rain moving in, we may have to bump this storm up to a three on the storm impact scale because of the rain. look at the next seven days. half moon bay, pushing more than four inches of rain. a lot of locations around he pay between three and four informs of rain, oakland, san francisco, san jose, very wet and very active pattern we have coming up over the next seven days. here's the accuweather seven-day forecast, tomorrow we'll track the afternoon and evening hours, one on the storm impact scale. monday is just cloudy. tuesday, a stronger storm, it's rainy and windy, lasting into
