christian to see when this next storm will arrive. spencer? >> we're seeing earlier arrivals here, we have pockets of light rain, light to moderate rain, some developing down in the south bay as well. over the santa cruz mountains. this storm has a 2 ranking on the scale of one-5. it's showing signs of getting a little bit stronger. so we're calling it two plus. we'll start at 7:00 this evening, notice about 10:00 tonight we'll see moderate to heavy rain moving into all of the north bay. by midnight, becomes more intense. by 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., we'll have moderate to heavy rainfall in locations from gusty winds and 5:00 in the morning, still, wide spread rain, strong winds and no doubt wet spots on the

pavement and will be a slow commute and there is more stormy weather still to come. thank you, spencer. a home in sonoma county is in jeopardy tonight from the storms. a retaining wall is ready to give way. the homeowner and county officials are trying to come up with a way to save it. with lots of rain in the forecast, time is running out. the problem impacts neighbors as well. a major slide will block the road leading to heir homes, cutting them off. today marks the anniversary of one of the worst storms in bay area history. in 1982, up to 22 inches of rain fell on the bay area and claimed 22 lives. one mudslide killed ten people in the santa cruz mountains. the storm damaged or sdoied 7800

to los angeles. we'll take a look at what that means for the team's chances of staying in oakland. other news, we have video from a fire that destroyed an antioch home. it started around 10:30. take a look at the flames. crews contained it, but the house is a loss. one woman went to the hospital with second degree burns. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> a $2500 reward being offered bit fbi for information about the person who tried to burn a mosque in tracy the day after christmas. a molotov cocktail was found outside of the door of the tracy islamic center that did a thousand dollars worth of damage. police arrested inspected serial arsonist on christmas eve, a molotov cocktail damaged a hill on churchhill drive. police say they linked that fire to two others and a man was

arrested in his walnut creek home, being held on $2 million bail. a boat sank in san rafael this morning days after the owner died. no one was on board as the boat went down. the harbor master will pull the boat from the water. it's owner was jennifer the coast guard will pay for the clean up. closing arguments began today in the trial of raymond shrimp boy chow charged with murder and money laundering. an fbi sting led to the arrest of chow and leland yee. vic lee joins us live with the latest developments today, vic? >> you recall senator yee did plead guilty to corruption charges so there was no trial for him. but raymond shrimp boy chow is fighting charges.

the hearing is over here at the court house, the prosecution ended arguments this afternoon. the prosecutor's closing arguments took all morning and most of the afternoon, explaining charges against raymond shrimp boy chow. an arsenal of firearms displayed on a table for jurors to see. he took the stand and says he is innocent of racketeering, money laundering, trafficking and drugs. including a high profile killing of a head of the chinatown leader. but badger told jurors he's a ruthless thug and that he was a shot caller of a criminal

syndicate. he claims he's a changed man and devoted his life to community work. to that, the prosecutor said mr. chow went back to the only life he knew, surrounding himself with thugs in chinatown. his attorney began his closing arguments, focusing on his client's former associates, who turned and testified for the government saying they were lying to get leniency. >> i told the jury they went to the toilet and scraped the bowl for scum bag witnesses. murderers, liars and house invaders. they couldn't give a damn about law and truth. >> prosecutors will have a rebutel before the case goes to jury. >> a series of power outages

and a half and from 10:00 tonight to tomorrow night, a massive fire in the area of valley area. flash flooding and debris flows are ponl with heavy rain expected in that area. okay. rainfall totals we project ahead to tomorrow evening, 7:00, from an inch in santa rosa, and nearly an inch and a quarter in napa. you can see many leakses will receive over an inch of rain. winds are going to get gusty. there is a gusts up to 36 around the bay and near oakland. winds continue to be gusty in the early morning hours. and this will get into a more normal wind flow. storm impact for the next storm,
