around berkley, richmond, san pablo. we did see this over san francisco. it's now heading towards the east bay and we'll be watching that to head in that direction. down towards the south bay, we're still seeing some ets to moderate to heavy rain right along highway 101 between morgan hill. so if you are traveling across this area for the evening commute, it is going to be a bit on the rough side. we're seeing scattered light showers and earlier, we did have mixed precipitation. we've seen it all here in the bay area. as you take a look, flash flood watch remains up for an area south of us until 6:00 tonight. today's storm, three on our storm impact scale. the strongest one, 1-to-5. we'll continue to rank our storms all winter long. the next one coming thursday morning. it's a one. it's a lighter storm. it's with the potential for

>> it is life in the country, the upside, the downside, the wet side. in sonoma county, wayne friedman, abc 7 news. >> a big job for crews in san francisco. they spent hours today removing a huge tree. the tree didn't hit anyone, but it did damage three cars parked on washington street. >> creeks and streams in santa clara county handling the recent rain fairly well. rez dengts say they're not taking any chances. dan, the storm left behind so much water and a bit of flooding. the boulevard closed tonight. at least two to three feet of water, believe it or not. storm drains could not keep up.

9-year-old boy out of antioch. all day today, we heard from parents who learned from this incident on social media. the video shows a young boy being slapped and punched. he just saw the video was on soernl media. >> can't nothing like that be happening. they have kids with real disabilities here. they came home from tobin world one day with bruises.

slick evening commute. some mixed precipitation is still definitely a concern. not a good idea, they will continue not only to see chain controls, but you will notice that there is still a stream of moisture heading in. waves of showers will continue. hundreds of lightning strikes earlier in the day today. storm reports around parts of the bay area. there have been multiple reports, not just flooding, but also hail. a funnel cloud reported in monteray county. it just shows you how unstable things are. we've gotten almost two inches. 9900ths of an inch.

san jose, half an inch of rain. and we're still counting. temperatures in the 40s, the 50s. as we take a live look, you will notice that there are some peaks in the cloud cover, but it's not going to last. the next one is on friday. let's take a look at the second part of the system that's going to continue to come through. scattered showers, 8:00. head into the morning commute and we'll see a few showers. at 5:00 a.m., we'll keep the forecast for your morning. afternoon, not so bad. 7:00 p.m., we see a few more showers developing. it's a one on our storm impact scale. a light storm. gusts to 35 miles an hour. possibly stronger up to our north. here's a look at that time line. friday morning is fine. friday evening, 6:00 p.m. the get away.

but notice the rainfall intensity is not as heavy as what we've been dealing with. in the north bay, the rain will be there friday night. it's pretty widespread. we'll see it less than half an inch, like i said. and, as ewe take a look at those wind gusts, it is going to be breezy to gusty at times. that could mean more trees, power lines going down, wind gusts not out of the question. and then we head into the latter part of saturday morning and the winds will ease up. winter storm warning up to 14 inches for the highest peak. winter weather advisory until 1:00 a.m. thursday. tomorrow morning, temperatures will be in the upper 30s, upper 40s. keep the umbrella with you. we'll see some spotty showers continue into the afternoon.
