flooding tonight. >> we'll start with a wide view of live doppler 7 hd showing areas that are not receiving rainfall, but some are receiving steady rain, including northward to concord, and berkeley to vallejo, and eastward. and that is a pretty straight pattern of rain here and down in the south bay, throughout the higher terrain into the mount hamilton areas, there are pockets of heavy down pours. we have more waves of rain expected to move on shore. our storm impact scale is a series of highs helping us prepare for the weather, we assign a ranking from one, indicating a light storm, up to five, indicating a severe storm. the ranking for tomorrow is one, because many of the residual effects would keep the risk of flooding in the picture here, we

francisco police commission is meeting and there may be local fire works over one item on the agenda. that is whether or not to return the officers returned in the mario woods shooting back to duty. officers surrounded woods and they say they opened fire after woods refused to drop a knife. his family sued and his mother called it an execution. after hearing from tenants on land lords for nine hours, the alameda city council is forming an ordinance to protect renters from steep rent hikes and unfair evictions. the meeting lasted until 4:00 in the morning. no kidding. among the provisions in the ordinance will be prohibiting land lords from raising rents more than once per year and from evicting a tenant to get more money from someone else. only abc7 news has a video of a san francisco deputy sheriff attacking a patient and

>> a san francisco deputy sheriff that attacked a patient was sentenced today and it is a sentence that satisfied no one. abc7 news reporter vic lee is in the newsroom with a decision and the story only on abc7. >> reporter: after a two week trial, the deputy sheriff was convicted of assault by a peace officer on that patient at san francisco general. >> it happened in november. he had been sleeping and waiting for an appointment. he was awakened and asked to leave. then the deputy grabbed him, shoving him back into the chair. he took his cane away.

the man put his hands on his neck. after backing away, he again grabbed him around the neck. a second deputy came and assisted him. prosecutor wanted a jail sentence. his lawyer asked that his client's felony be reduced to a misdemeanor. glenell said that the beating still haunts him, today. he was sentenced to three years probation. no one was happy with the sentence. >> we have a appeal. >> we believe it's something that led to jail time. so disappointed doesn't describe it.
