the hospital. family made to this gas station. c.h.p. in oakland say two victims, the intended shooting targets, showed up at an area hospital, a man and a woman. the shooting involving the family happened at 7:45 last night. the family of five with three children under the age of ten in the car. c.h.p. said their car traveled east on interstate 80 near fitzgerald drive and someone opened fire. at least one bullet struck the car entering through the passenger window on the right side of the window and traveled through the driver's side head rest and out the passenger window. c.h.p. officers called it miraculous no one was hit but the two year old boy was cut by shattered glass. the family made it to the richmond parkway exit where gas station attendant helped them. >> the woman got out quickly and

saturday night while the school was hosting a statewide color guard invitational. he was off duty and helping out as a volunteer. he noticed three men in a locked portion of the school. he approached, flashed the bag and asked them to leave and one pulled a gun and shot him. >> responding to the james logan high school. it will be a 53-year-old male with a gun wound. >> the campus was looked down and district officials stress that what happened had nothing to do with the school and it is safe. the deputy is recovering. >> a three decade old cold case is back open this morning. you can see on the screen on the left, 14-year-old picture of daniel naylor weapon he vanished from fremont in 1928 and on the right, this is age progression photo of what he could look like today as a 44-year-old man. authorities are taking a fresh look at case.
