the alliance filed suit to stop construction of the arena. the group claims city officials violated environmental laws and failed to address issues like traffic and noise. the warrior's decision, to date, is a victory for o poentds of what they called an ill conceived arena. >> a disruptive passenger forced a flight to make an unscheduled landing. >> this is insane. no word right now on injuries. the road is expected to be closed for as long as three hours. and a cement truck driver went to the hospital today after he crashed his rig in sonoma counselty. the truck overturned as you see on the northbound highway 1201 onramp near penn grove. the chp is on east petaluma road and took a turn just too fast and took over. his injuries are not too serious. a crew quickly removed a small amount of cement that spilled on to the road. >> tonight, a first look inside a double decker tour bus that skrash e crashed in san francisco's square in november. >> live in the news room with the close up pictures. >> his attorney said

>> these include the air compressor and the black box data recorder. 20 people were injured when the bus crashed november 13th. the driver's attorney says there will be a more complete inspection on the bus at a later date. the chp has said it never inspected the bus prior to the accident because today's sightseeing never registered it. the chp collision report could be released in early february. in the news room, alma dates, abc 7 news. >> new at 5:00, the operator of a small boat that overturned on lake delval has been charged with vehicular man slaulgter. 39-year-old demitri was operating the boat last october when it started taking on water. a contractor in sales forces i.t. organization drowned in this accident. none of the 7 people on board

was wearing a life jacket. the boat was rated to carry a maximum of 746 pounds at the time of the accident, it was carrying more than 1400 pounds. >> waiting for a bus last month when police say someone punched him so hard, he fell to the ground and hit his head. jackson died one week after the attack. >> a man rearrested in connection with a 33-year-old murder case is free tonight. release for the same reason as he was in 1983, a lack of evidence. san jose county sheriff's deputies arrested 67-year-old john scott in arizona last year. new dna analysis provided enough evidence for the 1983 murder and sexual assault of sharing ray. despite investigators claims of

>>. this is the cyclist killed this morning in a crash with a vehicle. the driver is on the run. this is san jose's third traffic fatality since the start of the new year. it happened near the s.a.p. center. more now from abc 7 news reporter matt keller. >> a big police investigation was taking place in downtown san jose where a 60-year-old man took his last breath in what can only be described as a baffling hit and run crash. >> a witness told police just before 5:00 a.m., the driver of the pick-up truck crossed over in the opposite lanes of traf

traffic, hopped the curb and clipped a man while he was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk. >> we think when the suspected vehicle went to flee the scene and ran over the vehicle one more time. >> we don't know if he was doing that to cause harm from the victim or just fleeing the scene. witnesses say there was a lot of junk in the bed of the truck and should have some minor damage on the fender side. >> police received a call of the vehicle matching that dripgsz, but they determined it was not the one involved in the fatal crash. they skppt to get many calls like this one today as they try to catch the driver. this is the third traffic fatality in the new year here in san jose. 60 people were killed in traffic collisions in 2015. >> last year was a terrible year for pedestrians versus

christin. we do have some wet conditions ahead, not just for tonight, but the weekend, as well. right now, behind me, it's just a stunning view. we have a few clouds, let's check out live doppler e7 hd. and that does come in handy. especially when there's a chill in the air right now. our radar is tracking a few returns. mainly along the coastline, not reporting anything now. as you look to the north, if you have travel plans, we are seeing some snow in the northern california mountainings. we'll continue to increase the snow up nort. the incoming storm is kicking up the swells. westerly, 16-20 feet. be careful, especially if you want to go and enjoy the coastline for this holiday weekend. heavy rain is expected with the second system sunday and monday.

for the lake county areas, the recent burn areas, the potential for flooding. temperatures right now, upper 40s to the low 60s. it has been a mild afternoon around the bay, some areas in the low to mid 60s in the afternoon. here's a picture from our east bay hills camera. here seeing some clouds, rain tonight, showers tomorrow. a stronger storm arrives on sunday with showers continuing into early next week. this winter, we rank the storms from 1 to 5. we've been doing it. we'll continue to do it. 51 se 51 severe, 1 is light. less than half an inch of rain. it's a little briz sill at times. 7 cloek, the rain is still to the north. by 9:00 p.m., it starts to move in across san francisco. light to moderate, 10:00 p.m. spread across the entire region and it continues overnight. tomorrow morning, another batch of briefly moderate to heavy rain come through the north bay

at 7:00 a.m. and then the rain breaks out into showers, skaterred showers for the late morning. if you have saturday plans and you have to drive out of the bay area, be aware of the fact that there will be some welt roadways out there. still looking at scattered showers, 6:00 p.m., as well. there is a warning for the back country. it does not apply to the ski resort. it does include tahoe bay son. it's something to be watching out for. two on our storm impact scale. one to two inches of rain from any arena ya, high surf and gusty winds coming. hef yaviest by 7:00 a.m. in the north bay. it slowly flies southward by the afternoon. >> this one is going to drench the bay area. mid night, we're still seeing pockets of moderate rain.

we're going to keep that system going through monday. rainfall totals between tonight and monday morning, over 4 inches in the north bay. you're looking at about an inch there the south bay and everyone else in between. morning tomorrow, upper 40s to low 50s. it will be a rainy start to your weekend. and then skaterred showers for your saturday afternoon with some sun breaks in there. temperatures in the mid 50s around the low 60s for san jose. accuweather 7-day forecast. tonight into tomorrow, two for sunday, heaviest rain coming in then going into your martin luther king, jr., day. and then we do have another system that is a one on our storm impact scale. as we head towards midweek, one computer model wants to bring in rain. and then on thursday, we do have a chance of rain. so this weekend will include some welt weather. perhaps a good weekend to stay inside. >> that sounds nice. thanks very much.
