abc's reporter melli wood slow here with the cost. >> there's an agreement whereby all of that city's costs will be reimbursed. san francisco does not. the mayor's office says it's not necessary. >> san francisco's already popular restaurants, hotels and bars are expected to be more busy during super bowl 350. there will be concerts and paerlts. >> all of these require extra police protection, extra trash pickup, extra street cleaning. >> those extra services could cost more than $5 million. san francisco supervisors want to strike a similar agreement with san francisco as they did with the other city. >> it won't be necessary.

valley. moderate around santa rosa. head towards san francisco, the sunset, you're pretty much all in wiper mode right now. headed toward the peninsula from redwood city to sunny vail, you are noticing it as well. street-level radar in san jose, as you'll notice, north 1st street, pockets of rain. this is shifting into the sanity cruz mountains. all right. you will be seeing some more rain headed towards the weekend. watsonville and monterey. sierra has seen some snow. state route 4 there are chain controls and you will likely see chains in other areas. keep in mind it's going to be a rain-snow mix the next couple of dayings. travel will be difficult. temperatures upper 40s to the mid 50s.

if you want to head up to the high country, probably best to get out now or early tomorrow morning because then it starts getting heavier with the rain and snow going into the weekend. san mateo has raindrops on the lens. showers continue into early next week and beyond that. saturday morning, 5:00. still going to be pretty slick at 7:00. headed towards the latter part of the morning, scattered showers in nature. if you want to head identity for a hike, there will be an opportunity. now, the next system is stronger. two on the impact scale between sunday and monday. one to two inches for many. the winds, latest computer models are backing off on the intensity of the rain. -- wind. the rain is the worry here.

watch that heavy rain. it finally shifts at 5:00 p.m. across san francisco, parts of the east bay. anthony it lightens up at 8:00. another batch comes in monday morning. heavy rain right across the peninsula. at 5:00 monday morning if you are working or heading back home or something, you're going to run into some very wet roadways. showers will continue monday afternoon going into the evening hours. rain totals between now and monday afternoon, two storms here. close to four inches in our north bay location, three in san francisco. oakland. pretty good rainfall. we are worried about the navarro river. it's forecast to crest above flood stage at new over 28 feet early monday morning. an action stage might be required for the russian river at hopland and mendocino county.
