continue overnight in the area, with temperatures in the low 30s. developing news now. a journalist from san rafael is out of an iranian prison trophy. iran freed five u.s. prisoners today, including jason rezaian. one of four americans involved in a prisoner exchange following months of secret negotiations between the u.s. and iran. rezaian was working as the "washington post" correspondent when he and his wife were jailed on charges of spying hitches wife was released last fog. the post and u.s. government deny the allegations. here's he three other prisoners released. amir hekmati was in prison for three years, he grew up in nebraska and michigan. and attended the defense language institute in monterrey while he was in the marines. saeed abedini of boise, has been in prison in iran.

bay area congressman eric swawell teamed up with local fire and police departments to give residents the right tools in case of a disaster. we were at the san lorenzo library, one of three emergency preparedness workshops held tonight. first responders taught resident ohio to prepare for and respond to natural and manmade emergencies. >> there are things they can do right now to plan ahead as far as having an exit plan in their home if disaster were to strike. where they can go if flooding were to occur, what they should prepare for in case an earthquake happens to be ready to get out of the house and still have food, water, and a way to contact people. >> the other workshops were held in dublin and union city.
