the car slipped off private railroad tracks near interstilt 680 at 8:00 this morning. officials say there was no leak. that was transported near union pacific. >> southbound 101 in san jose is still closed right now after an accident involving a tanker truck. it caused the cab to separate from the trailer. they spilled around 60 gallons of fuel on to the road. the crash happened north of east taylor street just after 10:30. >> and this accident in the north bay caused traffic delays this morning. it happened on southbound highway 101 north of navarro.

>> a hover board may be responsible for a house fire that killed the family dog. >> just a short time ago, within the hour, david carpenter, who owns that house, came back for the first time since that fire yesterday. we asked him specifically, what does he think about hover boards? he trusted them until 24 hours agr. here's what he said this afternoon. it's like selling kids bombs. >> mark keeler knew it last night when he saw this home explode as he began taking this video with his camera phone. >> i mean, completely engulfed within minutes. >> the santa rosa fire department traced its point of origin to a little room in the

house where she had been charging a hover board. >> the hover board itself was plugged in near the book shelf. the book shelf had some indicators on it that showed the fire started down here at the ground level. >> this is the 40th reported hover board fire in 19d states. it's looking hard at lithium ion batteries that come with the products. nobody was home when this fire broke out. the nay br saw the flames first and called 9-1-1. >> it was really bad. >> david carpenter told us he had just left to pick up he has daughter. normally, he would bring his two dogs along with him. instead, he left bella and boo behind. they perished in the heat and the smoke. the family is devil stated. >> you never know what's going to happen. i didn't see it coming, of course. just be careful to the parents out there. it could have happened in the middle of the night, i could have lost my daughter.

>> to developing news now. the deadly greyhound bus crash. >> just a couple hours ago, national transportation safety board investigator told the media they had to aid investigators on scene with human and mechanical factors to determine the charge of the crash. >> we were looking into whether it had any recorded information or not. >> only abc 7 news has a first look at this wreckage. the bus was moved to a tow yard. the bus crashed while traveling yesterday morning. maria ortiz of salinas died in the crash, ten others were hurt. >> coming up on abc 7 news at 5:00, find out how they're remembering their loved one tonight.

so we'll have two storms for two consecutive days that is. it's going to be pretty wet. i'll show you the time line in just a few minutes. >> for weather alerts where you live, down load the abc 7 news. >> a custody battle is underway in the case of a little girl in livermore. >> abc 7 news reporter laura anthony where the grandmother and the child's father are fighting for custody. laura? >> well, what we're talking about right now is temporary guardianship. the grandmother was here in court. that's just wrapped up a short time ago. this little girl has been through so much these past few weeks. of course, this all started on christmas eve when her -- the little girl was with her mother, a 29-year-old woman and a hotel in livermore. the mother was unresponsive. the police and fire were called.

she was taken to the hospital where she later died, with understand, from a diabetic -- after she went into a die bet ek skoal ma. the little girl was then put into foster care. but the day after christmas, police and fire got together, collected a whole bunch of gifts for this little girl. the issue is where will this little girl go. her brand mother from florida flew in from kro and now they're deciding who should get her in the short term. >> my hope is that my granddaughter will come home to all of her family in florida and have a happy, healthy life and heal from her mom's death soon. >> now, that was the grandmother. she is hoping to get guardianship and eventually

permanent custody from the little girl. meanwhile, the father has come to the bay area seeking custody. today's hearing went on for several hours. the father was not there, but the grandmother emerged and told us that no resolution has been reached and that this hearing will be continued. the little girl, in the meantime, is safe with the foster family. >> these two burglary suspects are under arrest right now. 31-year-old maria king and malik calloway were arrested spratly. the officer shot at the vehicle, the vehicle didn't hit anybody. she was arrested. calloway was later arrested in san bruno. >> the coast guard has suspended the search for two uc santa cruz students missing after a big

the 49ers introduced their new head coach, chip kelly today. kelly came across as poised, confident and looking like a man who knows exactly what he's doing. kelly spoke for about 35 minutes. he did not directly address his plans for colin kaepernick. the niners have until april 1st to cut kap or pay him almost 12 million dplars. >> obviously, kap is an extremelial ented football player. i was also impressed in terms of how blaine played, also. you probably need two quarter backs in this league. i think both have made this an attractive situation. >> kelly was a big success in college with up tempo. but he was fired after three
