sky 7 hd is keeping an eye on the street closures, cars are trying to cross to the south side of market street. >> abc7 news reporter sergio quintana shares us live to share stories of people impacted. sergio? >> reporter: we have a little bit of good news. a big change in traffic in the last hour and a half. you can see here on the southbound lanes, it's eased up a lot. it had been backed up more around 4:00 or so. around washington street is where super bowl city is being constructed. if you drove into san francisco, you got down fast. northbound traffic on the embarcadero were clear. leaving downtown is another story. >> how long have you been in

this? >> 45 minutes. >> reporter: he's on battery street, trying to get south of market and left an hour and a half early to make sure he can drive less than a mile for a work assignment. justin jennings traveled three blocks in a half hour. >> they had a map showing what streets were blocked off. i doesn't know it's going to be like this. this is a little bit ridiculous. >> reporter: emergency crews are having a tough time. crew members said heading back after the emergency, they'll be stuck in traffic with everyone else. he has advice for people heading here. >> take part or swim over. >> i won't drive. it's too busy. it's crowded. >> she says it won't end the

traffic headache because you still have to park. >> she recommends taking public transportation if you want to see super bowl city. super bowl lanes are going to be shut down for more than two weeks. and then, they still have to tear it down. >> sergio, it's a big job. these street closures are to accommodate super bowl city located in front of the ferry building. this is the hub for a host of free activities and concerts. traffic getting to, and around super bowl city might be a nightmare. if you make your way in. she's here to share her tips. >> i decided to find out what it's like getting around super

the victim's body has not been found but the suspect is under arrest. abc7 news reporter david louie is live from san jose. we're just hearing from police. david? >> that is right. police told us they have information the body of a 28-year-old may have been dumped in the ocean or in santa cruz mountains. that is an area police say it's familiar to the suspect and that is where volunteers have been focusing on the search. >> i am not a murderer. and i did not murder anyone. >> police think otherwise. that is why 39-year-old steve lebo is behind bars. he worked with kyle in san jose. he went missing from work friday afternoon and police later discovered blood inside of an adjacent building that had been fire damaged. he told us through security glass at the jail he heard he

resisted his family efforts to get care. also new at 6:00 we've learned a couple behind the attack in san bernardino last year tried, and failed to set off a bomb. the two shot and killed 14 people at the inland regional center. law enforcement officials say they were driving around after, they were trying to remotely set off a bomb that was poorly made. a new initiative just got the green light to begin collecting signatures. it would suspend the high speed rail project. the proposal would stop bonds funding the project from being issued or sold and reroute into other projects. 365,000 signatures are needed to git it on the ballot in november. there is a rival idea to high speed rail called hyper
