system. with high surf. we'll look at the hour by hour time line and i'll let you know if that will impact your plans for tomorrow. kristen? >> sandhya, thanks. a south bay college is offering to vaccinate students after two confirmed cases of meningitis. we learned one of the infected students lived in swig hall. health officials confirm both students were admitted to the hospital. the bacteria dies almost media on surfaces, but university crews cleaned swig hall as a precaution. students say they're concerned. >> it's an awful time to get it right now, week five, midterms. i really don't want it. >> the school first believed 500 students were possibly exposed. now the actual number is fewer, although it won't say how many. it's spread through saliva.

early symptoms are similar to the flu. the diocese of san jose announced it is shutting down st. lawrence academy in june. chris wen went to find out why and has reaction. >> reporter: after operating for more than 40 years, the end is near for st. lawrence academy in santa clara. >> it's frustrating. if we would have known, we would have helped. >> reporter: citing an accumulating deficit and the inability to raise funds, the diocese of san jose will close the school in june. more than 230 students in grades 9 through 11 will need to transfer out. 35 faculty members will lose their jobs. suzanne's daughter graduated from the academy a few years ago. they both can't believe it's come to this. >> by not knowing, they kept us in the dark. i almost feel there was a plan
