that's just the beginning. the winds will be gusty in the upper elevations, but we are looking at a sweet valentine's day with temperatures warmer than yesterday. temperatures from the 60s to low 70s by noontime. highs well above average. we could see some temperatures today mid-and upper 70s. 60s on the coast, but not for long. we will be warming up. and rain returning to the seven day outlook. chris. >> thank you. developing news out of san francisco. the civic center bart station is closed right now after a woman died at the station last night. bart officials say the woman was acting air rationally on the concourse. police ato proposed her before she jumped from the concourse level and fell to her death on the platform. moon think is providing trains while the station is closed. be sure to stay with us for updays on this story. >> a three alarm fire in the panhandle neighborhood.

a dog missing during the fire has been found safe. it was at fulton and bakers street. when firefighters arrived they saw flames shooting out of the garage and first door. it quickly escalated to a third alarm. the is assistant fire chief said the location of the home contribute today the difficulty of getting the fire out because of the location of muni and the powerlines. >> i saw the roof. it was pretty scary. i was about four doors down. i was hoping the fire didn't spread. >> one child was hurt in the fire, and two dozen residents are displaced. happening today, a special prayer during this morning's service for gustavus vagua, the officer killed. today church members will honor

climb with records possible and maybe today. yesterday was in the low 60s half moon bay. to today another five degrees of warming. we are getting underway with the warping trend due to the north wind. 60 degrees in some area of the north bay. mt. tam has wind gusts out of the north up to 35 miles per hour. with the high clouds and wind shift we around looking at my fog this morning. the central coast doing okay and a huge dome of high pressure building in to the north and to the east of us and that's going to get the offshore winds going tonight. so we can see some gusty winds in the upper elevations. they shouldn't really work down to the surface but if you are hiking or biking you may certainly hear or run into some of these winds. but they should subside and we will just be left with a lot of warmth in the next couple of days. the east bay hills camera, things look pretty calm here. 53 san francisco. 48 in mountain view and san jose with 50 morgan hill. look at the coast, 54 degrees half moon bay.

and from the roof camera, yeah, the flags are kind of flat, but check out the santa rosa temperature. at 57 degrees. so you know something is going on there. 42 in napa just down the road. so a big temperature profile there. at in novato, 48 by the delta, the 49 concord and 43 in livermore. this is interesting. as you look at oakland down through san jose, anywhere from 3 to 7 degrees cooler with the calm winds. radiational cooling. then we get the north winds and look at this, 14 degrees warmer from novato to santa rosa. even the west coast getting into the act. things will get even warmer in the morning hours. we see the quick warmup. warm today for valentine's day. records possible today and tuesday. the rain is going to return by late wednesday into thursday. statewide upper 60s on the coast. everybody is warmer today compared to yesterday. high surf in southern california, gusty winds in the mountains, 85 degrees in los angeles. you have to feel guilty from what those folks are going

through back east. on the peninsula, no fog this morning. looking at a clear start, 51 degrees pebble beach. low to mid-60s from 11:00 to 2:00. numbers coming up there. take a look at monday where the orange comes into play here. we should see numbers in 80s from napa to the north bay. records are possible. into tuesday not a lot of change. still the warmth in the east bay. we get into the wind shift on wednesday. sharply cooler with numbers in the 60s. remember this, the storm impact scale? from 1 to 5 we rate our storms. 1 being the lightest and 5 being the heaviest and strongest. we are expecting a 1. as we go into wednesday afternoon into wednesday night, here come the rain. looks like the emphasis will be in the north bay. it will be ending by thursday. this is a guide. this is looking at more generous rain for the north bay, a half-inch to an inch. maybe a half in or less the rest of the bay area. 74 fremont. 77 morgan hill and santa rosa with 73 in san francisco.

tam. 2500 feet. but from our east bay hills camera they aren't gusty quite yet around mt. diablo. some of the cooler numbers, san jose, mountain view to oakland and 51 morgan hill. that's a cool spot. from our roof camera, nice-looking view. the north winds mixings up the atmosphere, and that's allowing for the warmer than average temperatures this morning. 48 in fairfield. it's 49 in concord. good morning, livermore. 43 for you. and napa at 42 degrees. so that air as it descends into the valley it does cool off and they aren't getting the effects of the north wind. but clerk it out. from our east bay to the south bay, with he are cooler this morning. anywhere from 5 to 7 degrees cooler but up in the north bay, 11 to 14 degrees warmer and that's all due to the wind. and another vantage point. we are look at a clear start. no fog 20 speak of for your

valentine's day. records possible for not only today. a chance today but more likely tomorrow and tuesday. and then rain returning for the middle of the week. check it out. this is february. and you have to do a double take with 60s, 70s, 80s, they have high surf, gusty winds in southern california. the sierra nevada, 53 degrees. the next system is rain first and it will change over to snow into thursday. a little bit of help there. and monterey starting out clear. low 50s pebble beach. and still quite mild by 5:00. so look at the temperature profile, the colors here with upper 70s to year 80 degrees for monday. we are likely to see some records. this is the offshore flow. doesn't change newspaper much on tuesday. these are the records we will see more likely and even with 70 in san francisco it will feel like spring but by wednesday sharply cooler and that's because of a weak storm on the way. this is the storm impact scale.
