>> now at 11:00, a federal agent loses his gun in san francisco after leaving it on top of his car. tonight the search is on for a missing weapon. good evening. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. the pistol belonged to an agent with immigration and customs enforcement. >> sergio is live outside ice headquarters in san francisco with the story. sergio? >> reporter: dan and ama, unfortunately this is not the first time a federal agent in the last few months has become separated from his government government-issued handgun s. san francisco police tell us the ice agent's handgun was reported lost in this neighborhood before 7:00 this morning. hours later dispatcher put out this bulletin to the other officers. >> a lost firearm and left the loaded weapon on top of his vehicle and drove off. >> reporter: the dispatch continued with a description of the gun. >> the hoeded gun is a loaded

40 caliber weapon. >> reporter: this is a peck tour of the gun mod -- a picture of the gun model. in the last 8 months guns were used in two high-profile murders. in september a gun stolen from an ice agent in san francisco was allegedly used to kill antonio ramos. in july kate steinley used a stolen bureau of land management gun. an ice spokesman said he couldn't answer questions because it is still under investigation. abc7 news. a british tourist stabbed in the head is in critical condition. police said a man and woman attacked him in japan town. the couple puts the tourist bag that contained his passport, cell phone, money and credit card. police hope to get dna evidence off a scarf left behind by the robbers. developing news in vallejo. police are searching for the gunman or gunmen responsible

for a quadruple shooting that injured a young boy. abc7 news reporter alan wang is live at vallejo police headquarters. alan? >> reporter: ama investigators briefed up saying this is vallejo's fourth homicide of the year. there was a barrage of gunfire just before 4:00 p.m. and people heard it from several blocks away. >> it sounded like two pistols going off at the same time. we both basically tackled my son and wrapped him up between us. >> reporter: brad flaherty lives two doors down where a bullet bullet-riddled car is in the driveway. he heard 18 shots. >> someone is sitting in the driver's seat and his foot hit the gas peddle. it was hitting the governor and reving over and over again. >> it was this man who was shot while working on the car. a man with him died at the

scene. a stray bullet hit two other people in the house. a woman shot in the hand and a 9-year-old boy grazed in the face. >> i seen that little boy walk away like a champ after he got clipped. >> reporter: neighbors say two of the adult victims are the parents of the boy. >> comes to my store every day. we talk and we laugh and have a good time. >> reporter: most of the yellow markers represent bullet casings scattered all over. police believe there is more than one suspect and they may have taken off in a maroon sedan. meanwhile investigators are trying to figure out who would ambush these victims with extreme force. in vallejo, alan wang, abc7 newsws. in hayward, police have a murder on their hands, but no body, at least not yet. stacying a -- stacy aguillar was last seen and now it is a homicide investigation. katie is live at police headquarters with new information.

katie? >> the woman who hosted the party and who lives at the home tells me that aguillar left around 1:00 in the morning with her boyfriend. both had been drinking, she said, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. stacy aguillar's family president ared her missing following a house party she attended in hayward. >> as a result of our investigation we developed information that she is possibly the victim of a homicide. >> reporter: police interviewed people and investigated a crime scene and they are only saying aguillar was killed somewhere in hayward. people who live at this house near jackson street say the 22-year-old left the birthday party with her boyfriend unharmed. >> we don't have a body which makes it more complex. we don't have anyone in custody for the homicide. >> reporter: police have not named a suspect and neighbors are watching the cape closely. >> it is kind of weird, you

know, and i am afraid because my son has two kid. >> reporter: detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward. you can make an anonymous tip. abc7 news. hundred of officers joined the family and friend of the richmond police officer gus vegas to say goodbye today. >> ♪ i'm missing >> pallbearers carried his casket to memorial auditorium in richmond for a service this morning. he was killed last week in his home trying to protect his daughter during a domestic dispute. the white house now says apple can destroy software that would allow the fbi access to an iphone at the center of the san bernadino shooting investigation. investigators recovered the phone after faruk and his wife killed 14 people in december. on tuesday a judge ordered apple to create software to hack into that phone. apple refused saying it would be a breech of privacy. tonight apple says it was in fbi possession when the pa is

only patchy in the north bay and widespread fog that is spilling over toward the delta for saturday morning. then the fog burns off and high clouds burn off. the temperatures around the bay area will come up a few degrees with more sunshine. most areas got less than .20 of an inch and it was breezy out there. not expecting rain, only sunshine for the chinese new year parade. it is 57 when the sun goes down. it will be great looking weather for the parade for the lunar new year festivity. so if you are going make sure you have a jacket. the temperatures for san jose, you will notice they will sore. they will soar. the temperatures will be near the record level. mid70s monday through friday. you know it is well above normal this time of year.
