warm up. by noontime we will be in the low 60s. by the afternoon the upper 60s arrive around the bay and the inland. a cool night tonight and i'll let you know how warm it's going to get in a few minutes. chris. >> thank you. developing news out of michigan. a suspect has been identified in a shooting spree in kalamazoo that left at least six people dead and two others injured. police arrested the suspect jason brian dolphin, a 45-year-old white man from kalamazoo. the shooting started at 6:00 last night and there were multiple crime scenes, including a townhome, a cracker barrel restaurant and parking lot, and a ford dealership. among the injured is a 14-year-old girl who remains in serious conditions. the three shootings were all connected. they expected him to face mur charges and an arraignment could come tomorrow. back at home more developing news out of san jose. police are investigating a crash that killed two people last night around 9:30 at hicks road

and camden avenue. two cars involved in the avenue, police say, had major damage when officers arrived. a woman died at the scene and a man was taken to the hospital where elater died. one witness who lives in the area tells us what he thinks may have happened. >> the one coming southbound was coming up a hill and that heliis a blind spot for some cars, especially at this time of the night when not many people are on the road. once you get over that spot, that car probably didn't have enough time to react and since that car was coming so fast, they just hit each other. >> this is san jose's eighth traffic few salty and the eighth and ninth victims of 2016. >> an emergency meeting will be held tomorrow for displaced residents whose apartment burned in the mission district last year. the apartment at mission and 22nd is ordered to be demolished as soon as this week. after the intense flames ripped through the buildings,

leg will go from bakersfield north to gilroy and san jose. original plan was to build it from bakersfield south to burbank. the few plan also back the start of service from 2022 to 2025. a rail spokesperson said these changes brought the cost of building the line from $68 billion to $62 billion. much of that cost is expected to come from private investments. but some lawmakers are concerned costs haven't been lowered enough. >> this is really a map issue. we know we have in round numbers $20 billion. we can build the north with that. >> went from roughly $40 billion to $98 billion, then they detuned it and brought it down to basically a $70 billion project. still a lot of money but we are already getting cost overruns. >> once finished it will stretch from san francisco to los angeles. >> erosion is taking its toll in san francisco. abc news was at the south end of

ocean beach yesterday. you can see what's happening to one of the parking lots. crews had to pile sandbags to slow down the erosion. six agencies have agreed on a $340 million project to close the great highway south of the boulevard. the goal to key act a coastal trail in its place in 2021. here's something we haven't seen in months. recreational fishermen catching dungeness crab in the bay area. we saw lots of big catches. catching shows isolates now fish for sport south of there after crabs tested positive for toxins earlier in the season. >> i think the meet is fine. as long as you just get the knife cleaned before you cut. >> it's been a while before we've been able to fish for anything so everyone wants to go fishing.
