broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> she was last seen alive eight days ago. tonight a missing san jose woman is dead and police want to know if she was murdered. good evening. i'm eric thomas. 22-year-old stacy aguillar was last seen in hayward eight days ago. police announced her body was found yesterday afternoon. let's get to abc7 news sergio live at police headquarters. >> this is a case that took an interesting turn on friday when police announced they were no longer conducting a search. they are conducting a homicide investigation. and though her body was found yesterday afternoon there is no word yet on the condition of her body and where she was found and any possible suspect. >> hey ready what police have released only the most basic information on this case. they say 22-year-old stacy

aguillar was found on saturday about noon, but would not elaborate further. i was able to talk to aguillar's mother by phone from rosarito, mks mix. mexico. she said she has been told very little about what police have found. the alameda county coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine a cause of death. the small group of volunteers gathered to search for aguillar. >> i want to help find the lady and it is really sad this situation. >> i have two younger children and two female nieces, one a similar age. if it was my kids i would want somebody to help me so i am out here trying to help. >> aguillar's mother, marisol, says the search was called off. she was seen last saturday morning at 1:00 a.m. leaving a party at this house in

hayward. residents there say she left with her boyfriend unharmed and by friday they went from searching for her alive to searching for her killer. >> as a result we developed information that she is possibly the victim of a homicide. >> a suspect has not been named. the police plan to have a detailed briefing at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. in hayward, abc7 news. new details on a crash that killed a woman in vallejo. the elderly driver was speeding when she slammed into a wall killing the pass injure. passenger. it happened across the street from city hall. investigators want to know why the driver hit the wall going so fast. she survived and is in serious condition. a brazen attack in broad daylight has left one man dead and police searching for the gunman. it happened on fillmore street and golden gate avenue in san francisco right across the street from sfpd's northern

station. lilian kim is in the newsroom with more on the story. lilian? >> proximity to the police station was not enough to dissuade a man from shooting his gun. he shot multiple times as the victim was leaving the parking lot. >> san francisco police say two men were leaving the mcdonalds drive-thru when a man came up and opened fire. the driver wasn't injured, but the passenger was shot several times. >> i heard pow, pow, pow. >> reporter: he was only feet away and walking on fillmore street when he heard the gunshot. >> all i know is it is i was running for cover. >> the shooter got away. the passenger died at the hospital. they say he was in his 20s, but they haven't mentioned why he may have been targeted. this mcdone nationals happens to be on the same block at sfpd's northern district station that sits across the street on filmore

and turk. >> the shooter was not hindered by that or by us down the block. once we know the motive you can piece them together. >> nearby businesses are growing frustrated. the two people were shooting at each other when an inpho sent bystander -- when an innocent boy stander was caught. >> i didn't know what to do. >> in today's case, police say the fact they were so close allowed them to talk to plenty of witnesses who didn't have a chance to leave before they arrived. they say they are also opening opening -- they are also hoping security video will give them more clues. >> there has been conflicting information from witnesses and at this point the only reliable description is he was a young man wearing dark clothing last seen getting into a car that sped east into golden gate avenue. lilian kim, abc7 news.

more developing news in san francisco. it is just four blocks from the mcdonalds shooting. it happened around 8:30. the victim was driven to the hospital and the condition is not clear. they have investigating if the two shootings were related. now to the race to the white house. abc news was at the bar where supporters of better intoe sanders held a fundraiser this afternoon. the candidate himself was in south carolina bernie supporters wanted them to use their cell phones to donate to the campaign. south of san francisco the other democratic candidate was attracting supporters. >> spent six years in the senate. she has been in the situation room and she unders compromise and tough choices. >> hillary clinton attended the bay area fundraisers at private homes in piedmont and atherton and menlo park. the primary is in june, but if the race is close the 475

required special training on how to spot drunks. a proposed law would require people behind the bar to have that training so they can step in and cutoff a customer who has had too much to drink. it is the beverage trainer's act . we hope it will save lives. the iphone is at the center of a legal battle between apple and the justice department paid for, but never installed a feature that would have allowed the fbi to easily unlock the phone. the phone was used by the san bernadino gunman who killed 14 people in december. if the technology had been installed officials would have been able to remotely unlock the iphone. apple has hired the high-profile attorney who helped strike down the ban on same-sex america in california. >> the fbi have helped in this investigation and in every way the law required but it has to
