live from the kgo broadcast center this is abc7 news. now at 11:00, super tuesday showdown. five candidates score wins in primaries and caucuses across the country. but it is hillary clinton and donald trump who are solidifying their march toward the democratic nomination. thank you for joining us. i'm ama daetz. >> and i'm dan ashley. >> it was a good night for hillary clinton. the former secretary of state, senator and first lady won alabama, arkansas, georgia, tennessee, texas, virginia and massachusetts. senator bernie sanders won colorado, oklahoma, vermont and minnesota. >> on the republican side a good night for donald trump. alabama, arkansas, georgia, massachusetts, tennessee, virginia and vermont all went for the businessman. >> texas senator ted cruz won his home state along with oklahoma. marco rubio scored his first win of the primary season winning minnesota.

the other way during the fight. all three men turned themselves in today. prosecutors say the men forced inmates to fight each other like gladiators. they issued a statement saying the deputy allowed two inmates to wrestle to settle a minor dispute. in retrospect, he shouldn't have. there were incarcerated career criminals whom he allowed to let off steam. we have new details on the hotly contested debate on whether to close a popular gun range in alameda county. as lisa amin gulezian tells us, a decision was finally made after five hours of debate. >> i see it unanimous. >> reporter: it took hours of testimony and deliberation before the east bay regional park district board decided to shutdown the gun range. they have one year to wind down operations. park officials say there is extensive lead contamination from lead shells.

it is an issue we can't get away from. >> reporter: hundreds came to the meeting hoping to save the range. the club offered to help pay for the clean up. >> we just can't afford it. >> reporter: some club members think it is an over reaction. >> it does not run into the lake. they are containing it there on the property there are ways you can pull it off and have it recycled. >> reporter: it is angering many environmentalists who wanted the range to close sooner rather than later. >> we are a public agency and we are supposed to be stewards of the lambs. we are letting lead go into the environment. >> they asked for a new tenured lease. that won't happen now. lisa amin gulezian, abc7 news. it is going to get tougher

accident in the month. alan is live at the crash scene. >> workers will try to figure out how to pull this car from the wreckage. it was parked in front of the building when the driver accidentally stepped on the gas and plowed into it. >> that's what i heard. boom. they were washing dishes when this car plowed into the side of the restaurant. an elderly driver and his wife who are regular customers got out of the car in shock. >> the woman was shaking and i believe the man was a little injured. >> he was taken to the hospital as a precaution. there were also two children in the backseat who were not hurt. >> they stepped on the gas instead of the brake and accelerated in the building and caused the damage you see there. this is the third accident in one month's time.

an elderly driver crashed into the building. and on february 18th a car crashed. he also hit the accelerator instead of the brake. alan wang, abc7 news. two women from uc berkeley are telling their stories after sharing a stage with lady gaga at sunday's oscar show. ifif you saw it it as -- it was an emotional show. the former cal student was there too. >> i definitely didn't expect that so many people would be moved in the way they were. >> it was very emotional. i was in tears before the curtain even came up. when we were walking off stage, celebrities were standing to hug us.

commute will include. a little fog from the emeryville camera. the rine arrives going into thursday morning. it will be a wet and windy weekend. on the storm impact scale, the first system that's coming in is a one. it is a light system wednesday night to thursday morning. expect .20 to .90 of an inch of rain. this will not bring wind with it. it will start with the fog at the coast and partly cloudy otherwise. we head into the afternoon with rain on the increase. the yellow is indicating the moderate pockets there. is then it barely slides southward after wednesday night going into midnight. parts of the east bay and the wee hours of thursday morning all areas are getting wet. your morning commute is going to be a slippery one and a slow one. you are looking at wet roadways.

7:00 a.m. scattered showers across the heart of the bay area. and this continues at 19:00 a.m. and then it all winds down. as far as rainfall totals expecting a typical spread with the lowest down in the south bay about .20 of an inch. highest is about .90 in santa rosa. there is a stronger storm that is coming. friday night you will see showers ahead of it. you will notice pretty widespread by 10:00 p.m. and then the brunt of the energy comes in on saturday. saturday morning we get the light to moderate rain. head into saturday evening and we are seeing yellows here. gusty winds could cause isolated power outages. saturday night it is still going. we head into sunday and this is the day we will see the wet and windy conditions. the intensity of the rain will ease up. sunday morning you have the rain. it is pretty widespread on sunday afternoon and sunday evening. you are seeing the rain as well and then it winds down. this will turn into slow particularly on sunday in the

mountains. we are expecting up to two feet of snow at some of the resorts. it will initially be rain. the snow levels will be high between basically tomorrow night going right on through friday before we start to see the switch over to snow. tomorrow morning mid40s to low 50s there will be fog around near the coast tomorrow afternoon the fog will linger along the coastline. your temperatures will run lower than today. mid60s at the coast to the low 70s inland. a look at the accu-weather seven-day forecast we have a one and the next storm friday into saturday is a two and the next one on sunday is also a two. chance of showers on monday and clouds on tuesday. we are going with a slight chance. one is dry and one is wet. it is a welcome sight to see the rain drops though. >> i hate when the models are disagreeable. can't we all just get along? coming up, cover shoot.
