we are live outside the jail with the developing story. >> reporter: the sheriff installed 12 new cameras on the fourth floor. that's where the most violent inmates are housed. the cameras caught the fight. keep a close eye on the man on the left. during rec time he walks up to the inmate and starts punching. as many as 20 inmates are at each other. >> one inmate brushed up against the other and then the fight was on. >> reporter: about two dozen deputies rushed to pod 4a. they used perp spray to break things up. no one was seriously hurt but every second of the fight was caught on these cameras which were installed yesterday. otherwise the jail typically only has one camera per floor. >> it will give us the opportunity to see what actually

happened. we'll be able to see who was assaulted and who was involved in the fight. >> reporter: attorney robert powell wonders who took so long. he represent an inmate who claims the jail broke his jaw. >> i think it will keep the officers honest. >> reporter: the lockdown lasted for hours. families of those in custody were worried. >> i'm nervous, concerned, extremely concerned for his well-being along with everybody else in there. >> reporter: this women's brother is safe. he isn't on the fourth floor. she hopes cameras will soon be installed on his floor as well. abc 7 news. abc news was in court today as a judge ruled three former depsies p stand trial for the murder of a mentally ill inmate. they are accused in the death of

an inmate. he died from injuries his attorneys say came from a beating. >> caused a breuise on the outside of the body. >> we'll have more evidence. this is basically a prosecutor's area where they put on evidence and that's the end of it. >> the three guards are accused of beating another mentally ill inmate. a trial date will be set this month. an am track train slammed into an rv. it happened around 6:15 p.m. tonight. one person jumped out of the rv before it was hit by the train, but that person was taken to the hospital for serious injuries after getting hit by debris after the collision. the police officer are investigating. >> looking outside now at pier 15. it is dry right now, but big changes are on the way for the morning commute and the weekend. meteorologist is tracking a

powerful storm with live doppler 7. >> that storm arrives next weekend, but tomorrow morning expect spotty showers. live me show you right now we're tracking clouds and fog. here is a look at that next storm. here is why you're going to get soaked. this has the signature of el nino. it stretches over 1,700 miles. one is light and five is severe. we're ranking this storm a three. one to two inches of rain expected for the lower elevat n elevations up to half a foot for the hills with those wind gusts 45 to 55 miles an hour. there is potential for downed trees, power lines and minor flooding. i'll be back with a time line of your weekend storm and there's another storm that follows. the abc morning news we'll have complete coverage of the

political hot spot. democrats debate in flint and on tuesday the state hosts a primary for both parties. three bay area counties are now reporting cases of the zika virus. today san francisco announced one case in a woman who is not pregnant. yesterday a pregnant woman tested positive for the virus and last month there was another suspected case. they contracted it from traveling to infected areas where it's most frequently transmitted by mosquitos. health officials say there's no health risk in the bay area. for the second time lead has been detected in the water at a school. the district superintendent notified parents today that the drinking founts had been shut off at the high school. >> reporter: the drinking fount ans are dry and food preparation has been moved off site.

>> there is possibly a problem with lead levels in the drinking water be. >> reporter: the direct ordered testing because some of the buildings at the junior high are the oldest in the district dating back to 1927. >> any building that happened before the 1990th a candidate for deterioration in the plumbing system given the construction materials they used. >> reporter: bottled water is available for the students or they can refill their water bolts at the hydration stations. the water safety here is not in question. the health department will continue testing the water friday and results should be in next week. >> i want to stress we're taking every precaution to make sure our students are safe. >> reporter: drinking fount ans were disabled in november. a second round of testing reveal the water was safe, but the district is sticking with bottled water on campus and will

before we get that storm into the bay area we're going to see a few showers tomorrow. we're showing you some cloud cover and we are tracking that system that cloudiness is keeping our temperatures on the mild side in the 50s, 60s and as we look from our roof camera we are seeing the gray skies, scattered showers tomorrow and stronger storms this weekend and rainy and windy this weekend. tomorrow morning there will be some slick spots as we will see a few hours at 6:00 a.m. and then we head towards 7:00 a.m. and most of the area will be seeing clouds and possibly a little bit of drizzle. by noon time you see the spotty light showers. this continues as we head towards the evening commute, but it will be quite a bit of cloudiness lingering into the afternoon so it will be gray and drizly at times we bring in the storm impact scale.

it's a three on our impact scale. one to three inches of rain, wind gusts 60 miles an hour if you're going to see the strongest winds between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. the winds will start to increase in the afternoon, but you will notice the 45 to 50, possibly higher wind gusts as we head towards that evening time period. saturday morning we'll have some light to moderate showers at 8:00 a.m. those showers increase in coverage at 10:00 a.m. as we head to 2:00 p.m., it becomes more intense in terms of the rain and the winds will kick up. did is going to be stormy by 4:00 p.m. and this spreads during the 6:00 hour. most hours will be getting down powers. if you had to plan, i would try to take your plans indoors for saturday evening, there could be an isolated thunderstorm or two.

we head into sunday morning and it's different. it's a two on the storm impact scale. the intensity of rain and wind will not be as strong as saturday. we're looking at light to moderate rain into the afternoon to the evening. rainfall totals will be three to six inches and lower elevations picking up one to two inches of rain. a flash flood watch has been posted for lake burn county. watch out if you do live or visiting the area there is the potential for a flash flooding and debris flows. this will turn to snow in the mountains, that heavy rain here in the bay area and that is why a winter storm watch from saturday 10:00 p.m. to monday 4:00 p.m. expect winter driving conditions, strong winds will
