closed. >> because there was never a conviction the case still open and the knife is now undergoing extensive forensic testing. in 1994 the land investigators spent months looking for the murder weapon. it was never found. even if there is evidence it is connected to o.j. he cannot be re-tried because of double jeopardy. simpson is serve time for robbery and kidnapping in nevada. >> he is up for patrol next year. it is too early to say if the retired officer who kept the knife will face criminal charges. the department warns the investigation is still early and they need to figure if it is legitimate and if the true is the one used in the double murder. >> in doubt more to come. >> san jose police are looking for a driver involved in a deadly crash at the intersection of camden and lee avenue, just re-opened after chosing for several hours. our reporter, john it o is at

the scene. jap it? -- janet? >> s.u.v. vs. a truck ended in a crash behind me, one person died and now police are look for the other driver to get some answers >> san jose police arrived at camden and lee avenue shortly before 3:00 this morning and this was the scene they found: silver nissan frontier and red dodge coe lighted leaving the debris all over the streets including tires and bumpers. the driver of the silver truck died from the injuries. now police are looking for the driver of vehicle who ran. police confirmed they are still talking to several people who were around the area at time of the incident. they have detained a man for further questioning. he is believed to be somehow connected to the vehicle that fled. >> we are trying to figure out how he is related. >> this strip mall has been losing business all morning due to the closed off intersection.
