>> abc7 news starts right now with breaking news. >> the breaking news right now police are searching for the driver of this car, the driver abandoned the vehicle after hitting a child in castro valley. the boy is seriously hurt. >> i am reggie aqui. >> i am kristen sze. it happened on meadowview drive blocks from marshall elementary school. can you see the damage to the vehicle. police say the driver jumped a curb around 8:00 this morning and hit a six-year old boy walking with family members on the sidewalk. >> the driver hit a pole, jumped out of the car and took off running. police searched for driver at a

and around the embarcadero and toward the exploritorium, people have their umbrellas and have been listening. we have been talking about last week and into this week the darkest and most ominous clouds to the south as you can see on live doppler hd, right over the san mateo bridge and stretching down both sides of the bay shore and some weaker showers moving through dublin/pleasanton. our storm impact scale is "1" light to "5" severe. this storm for the afternoon will be light with showers and isolated portions with pond on the roads possible. it will be breezy near the storms. there is isolated chance of a thunderstorm near the ocean and toward our beens. you can see the san mateo bridge getting rained on. that will be the case through 5:00. the showers will fade by 7:00. the clouds will fade by 9:00. do not put those umbrellas away yet. each day my seven-day forecast shows a chance of rain. >> we will heed your advise. the clean up continues on a residential street on the peninsula.

after raw sewage flooded several homes. neighbors say they have have discovered who is to blame. our reporter is in millbrae with the story. amy hollyfield? >> yes, kristen, neighbors and city officials say that a contractor is to blame, a critical error made on friday afternoon and saturday the rains came in causing a disgusting mess and that is why you see repair and clean up crews here today. this is what the raw sewage looked like, coating the shower floor, the bath almost floors, the hallway, but looking at it is nothing compared to smelling it. >> unbearable. i almost puked. >> jason was climbing into bed and he heard a bubbling noise in his home and checked the toilet and saw the sewage spewing out one of three homes damaged. as you look at the gross video of what happened, he says believe it or not the neighbor across the street had it much

>> gold star, reggie. >> love to keep it there but here are the details on top of rain, no rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain. all joking aside we have showers on mission boulevard as you come out of the sunol grade, at newark, these are sliding down 680 and 880 into milpitas in the next five or ten minutes, head down alameda and headed to 84 and menlo park in that area you can see the strongest storms as we expected them to be over the santa cruz mountains and some of those will slip into the south bay where we have had a couple of reports of small hail this morning, out of some of the showers that roll through and that is the case as we head into the evening and the back edge of the storm sliding to the south. that does not noon you are out of the woods, but re-development will happen during the afternoon hours. check out mount tamalpais anticipating the gorgeous sunrise and...boom, from the side, the clouds come in and the rain takes it away.

we had other beautiful pictures, and as we look from the east bay hills to mount tamalpais you can see the rapidly ascending nature of in buoyant air mass and why we had so many showers this morning and watched the clouds come at us. they fill in the entire sky the we have sunshine around sunshine, 101 and 880 but you are an area that has a better chance of showers as we head into the afternoon hours. a small window of sunshine and dry air tomorrow and more light-to-moderate storms through the seven-day forecast. here we are at noon, and watch as we head into the afternoon hours, still yellows in the north bay, slide down the peninsula, notice they turn to light green by 4:00 and by the time the commuter is over they are gone and that will open up the day for a little bit of sunshine and temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. tonight is get werely cooler with patchy fog developing mid-30s rind land to mid-40s an the bay and maybe a 48 the warm spot in san francisco so dress warmly. here we are tomorrow at noon,
