patel with the latest. >> as we look at live doppler 7 hd, we have the winds going and let me take you in where we are tracking the wet weather. that's right into the south bay, the santa cruz mountains, around scotts valley, bolder creek. still looking at the lwet roadways. in the east bay, tracking moderate rain around pleasanton. the area of low pressure associated with this storm is coming on shore, so we'll keep the wind going, keep those showers going, at least through about 9:00 tonight. winds are gusting right now, although not as strong at sfo, 3 miles an hour. wind advisory until 6:00 p.m. tonight. gusts 35 to 45 miles per hour. over the hills, winds are still gusting between 50 to 60 miles

an hour. tracking another system with our storm impact scale. this is a one for saturday. quick burst of rain with a quarter to half inch of rain for most areas. let's take a look at the timeline tomorrow morning. a few spotty showers. and then you see that line, it's a narrow line of showers coming in around noontime in the north bay. i'll be back with the hour by hour timeline of when it will reach your area and when the next storm will come in. ama? >> sandhya, thank you so much. a power pole came down just west here of tara hills drive. it's just another remind tore use kaugsz tonight on all those slick roads. in the sonoma county town of grayton, a hillside gave way on occidental road. >> and throughout sonoma county, there have been scenes like this, storm water spilling across roadways. spring lake, steelhead beach are closed because of flooding or

the potential for flooding. the most dramatic flooding was in the north bay. sonoma county in particular struggled with downed trees, flooded vineyards and roads and a fallout from a landslide. cornell bernard is live with the latest. cornell? >> reporter: there is so much water in sonoma county tonight. much of it with nowhere to go. this is walder road, it is closed because it is under water and may be for quite a while. >> go! >> reporter: this flooded out road became a wake border's paradise. these guys say it was just too tempting not to took up a tow line and do some waive running. >> can't wait till summertime. it's been fun so far. it's been working out. >> it's my day off. >> reporter: rain pounded the county all night and all day long. so much rain, the water had

nowhere to go. that left this vineyard under water, the entry gate barely visible. east side road was flooded out, but many took their chances and plowed through. are you going to try driving through this? >> yes, yes. >> reporter: kylie phillips was not sure her little car would make it. >> right now, i'm trying to get to my sister's house. probably will stay up there so i don't have to drive through this. >> reporter: you have a flooded road ahead. what's your plan here? >> from the looks of it, i might have to turn around. >> reporter: we were there as debris from a landslide continued to fall down on summer home park road in forestville. the road is still closed, as crews worked to clean it up. >> haven't seen it in 19 years this bad. >> reporter: he was watching the russian river continue to rise, but flooding is no longer a danger. local creeks caused flooding on walder road and cut off access to vineyards. >> it's not that bad yet, but it's getting there. >> this is a nice stretch to zip

on by. but obviously not today. >> reporter: meantime, back on the water, these guys plan to wake board all weekend. and they may get that chance. we're back live here. the road is still closed, and with more rain and runoff on the way, it may be closed for quite some time. cornell bernard, "abc7 news." at the sonoma/napa county junction, the water levels are only expected to get worse. eric thomas is live now at that junction with more problems in napa county. eric? >> reporter: and 121 and 12 still shut down. it has receded a bit, but since it's raining on and off and wind has picked up, it's anybody's guess when this is going to reopen. on the other hand, we were a

little farther north in napa county a little while ago and they had their own trouble spots. heavy rains pounded on and off for most of the day today, prompting neighbors to keep a worried eye on the rising water. >> kind of exciting, but scary at the same time. >> it's scary actually. i hope it doesn't overflow too much. >> it was just all mud. >> reporter: this family walks a few dozen yards down to the creek every few hours to see how high it is. and guess how close it is to come to their home? >> when it's gone over, it's come all the way up to our door, so we've had it sandbagged before. >> it just makes a little mess. gets wet, we had sandbags this past storm. >> reporter: a $1 million drainage project has widened the channel. although it's reduced the risk to homes, neighborhood streets are another matter. >> i think we would say we're on the storm watch like everybody

else, we have the potential, and if we get a peak storm cell in the hills or something, it could affect it. >> reporter: some of this water you see here is from sonoma creek. it is still here and as we p pulled up, the chp reminded us if you can't see how deep it is don't drive through it. we'll have more about this coming up at 6:00. eric thomas, "abc7 news." >> great reminder, eric. thank you. the storms are causing a lot of anxiety in pacifica. demolition begins tomorrow morning on an apartment building because the cliff has been eroding way. >> reporter: right now, there is a lull in the rains, and the crews that are going to be starting their work tomorrow are hoping it will last through the afternoon. you can see that they've started doing some prep for what they'll

be doing. there's a few large pieces of equipment that will be used. you can see right there the fence around 320 has been put up. that is a safety fence. now from sky 7 hd, we were able to check out the ex-ten sich damage that may have been caused by this last round of rain. you can see how precarious the corner is to the eroding cliff. we also spotted some debris from the property that has tumbled down to the beach below. a spokesperson representing the city of pacifica tells me demolition will begin tomorrow morning at 9:00, and it will take a few days to completely level this slot. from sky 7 hd, we noticed what looked like new construction equipment and other properties here. we don't know if that's related to rains and erosion and along the pacifica downtown water front, crews were at work on the sinkhole that developed a few weeks ago.

nancy reagan. and evening though he wasn't there in person, husband ronald reagan loomed large over the service. the love they shared was clearly felt. laura anthony is live in simi valley outside the presidential library where the funeral was held. laura? >> reporter: rarely will you find this collection of dignitaries, states people, and hollywood celebrities all here to celebrate the life of a woman who was described as compassionate, funny, sometimes difficult, but always fiercely loyal to her husband. this was a private service, so the people who knew nancy reagan the best and loved her the most. especially through the eyes of the late president, ronald reagan. >> when he was on a movie set or on the road for general electric, or as a candidate, or as governor, or as president, he wrote her every single night.

self-driving car research. general motors already has an alliance with rift. ford announced it created ford smart mobility. gm and ford are competing against google, apple, and tesla to build the first successful self-driving car. back now to today's weather. our el nino fueled storms have delivered billions of gallons of much-needed water to our local reservoirs. but statewide, regulators continue to stress the importance of water conservation. chris nguyen has the story from the south bay. >> reporter: the rain this week has been a pleasant sight for many, and here in santa clara county -- >> i feel a little crazy now that this wind is kicking up. >> reporter: these men came out to see it spilling over. >> like in the middle of a storm. it's exciting to see the dam fill up like this. >> reporter: this view from sky 7 hd shows stevens creek reservoir is also close to

capacity. lexington is currently at 44%, and anderson, the valley's largest reservoir, is at 51%. overall, the ten reservoirs in the south bay are at 56% of capacity as of friday afternoon. while water is at least visible, ground water supply levels are currently low. >> we don't know what's going to happen next year. this could be followed by several more dry years. >> reporter: despite the rain, conservation efforts still need to be taken seriously. >> until we've fully recovered in our ground water levels and reservoirs are back to normal, we should continue those conservation habits. >> reporter: visitors take a moment to reflect. >> i took a few pictures and you don't get to see that very often. ve lived here for over 30 years and only get to see the creeks flowing this way when there's el nino type weather. >> reporter: holding out hope

we'll get enough rain this spring to november us closer to get out of the drought. chris nguyen, "abc7 news." the intense rain can make driving a little treacherous. this is what driving on highway 101 looked like earlier today, as "abc7 news" road along with a chp officer. accidents on bay area freeways went up when the rain started coming down. the chp says driving in the rain is safe or can be if you just slow down. >> i don't think there's any rains so strong we're getting that you couldn't drive through if you maintain a safe speed and be patient about getting to where you're going. >> if you hit standing water like that, officer williams says you should just take your foot off the gas until you regain control. hitting the brakes could cause a spinout. >> and not good. there is a lot of rain coming down. >> it is wet across parts of the bay area. we have two more systems coming over the weekend.

don't worry, your wmd is not a washout. the rain will arrive, the systems are nowhere near the intensity of what we've seen come through. i'm going to take you in closer and you'll see where it is still slick across 280, in the south bay san jose, you're finally getting the rain that yesterday pretty much seemed to miss you, other than a trace at the airport. 880 north 1st street in san jose, it is wet. in the east bay, pockets of light to moderate rain. tonight, we just hang on to the umbrellas. chain controls heading up to tahoe. it is snowing in the mountains and we have a winter storm warning up until 11:00 a.m. monday. two to four feet above 5,000 feet. gusty winds and higher elevations than 5,000 will be picking up more than that, as far as show. 53 inches at donner.

right now it is snowing in tahoe. take a look at the rain totals. i'm going to step aside so you can see them. more than 3 3/4 over an inch in oakland. concord, almost an inch. san jose, you picked up 0.22 of an inch of rain. temperatures in the 50s, and a live look from our walnut creek camera, here's a look at the forecast. two more storms this weekend. one is light, one moderate. towards next week. let's take a look at the next storm, which is for saturday. it's a one on our storm impact scale, a light system. quick burst of rain, quarter to half an inch of rain. 10:00 a.m., in the north bay, light to moderate rain, a narrow line. 2:00 p.m., still pretty much in the north bay, but we'll see spotty showers. and then in the evening, the san francisco area, and into the

south bay, it winds down by saturday night. and here comes another system on sunday. it's a two. moderate strength storm, half an inch to inch rain bringing flooding risks for the north bay. saturday night, showers and sunday morning early, large areas of rain develop. by the way, it will be breezy with both systems. could seei w gusts 25 to 30 miles per hour. 9:00 a.m., wet roadways. sunday afternoon, evening, continuing those showers, going into late sunday night. in terms of rainfall for the next two systems, you're looking at really the highest totals up in the north bay, about two inches. most other areas should pickup about an inch of rain. as far as the north bay is concerned, that's where we still have a flash flood watch until sunday evening at 5:00. ground saturated, the creeks are swollen, so any additional rain on top could cause flooding, so be aware of that, especially if you are going to be in the north bay over the weekend.
