the weekend. in the santa cruz mountains, drivers braved rain-soaked roads. and crews shut a street down while they cleared debris. locals say they haven't seen this in years. >> as we take a look from the exploratorium camera, looks like there is a bit of a break in the storm. you can see a bit of the sky there. spencer christian shows us where it is still raining. spencer? we have breaks in some parts of the bay area and pouring in others as you can see. we have an area of moderate and heavy rainfall moving up right now. there are down pours in this batch of rainfall and moderate area of heavy rain southeast of fremont, moving into the higher terrain but notice it moves into gilroy and it is very wet in those regions but you can see in the pattern, it's moving towards

the southeast so there will be a bit of a break in just a few minutes. our rainfall totals, more than four inches of rain in mount st. helena. two and a half near mill valley. and we still have low rainfall totals in livermore, and san jess yeah, and mountain view. and right now in terms of percent of average rainfall, we have lagged behind a bit, but right now, every location is between 90% and 100% of average. so we're catching up. >> spencer, thank you. caltrans has been keeping an eye on trouble spots today that could have consequences for drivers and homeowners in the wine country. >> problem one is right here at

bones on monday and they do say the bones are not native american. >> police are looking for a driver of a van that hit and killed a man before powell street. we're live near that tunnel to tell us what information police have to work with. lyanne? >> reporter: there was so few witnesses out here, we know he's a 60-year-old man and that he died alone, now, the mayor wants the driver caught. this is the fifth pedestrian killed in san francisco so far. police say a white van was seen driving on powell street, turning on broadway, when it hit and killed the pedestrian.

it's not clear if the man was in the crosswalk at the time. >> we don't know if the person was dragged or if the impact landed body. >> the hit and run happened at 5:45 in the morning when it was raining and dark. >> all we have is a white van and no windows. >> neighbors know cars speed as they approach the tunnel. >> this can happen any time. you know? to me, that is unacceptable, the guy taking off. i hope he gets caught. >> police are hoping surveillance cameras on both sides of the tunnel will help them identify the driver. those cameras had limited range or not working.

off a bit. it's breezy and continues to miminnish. downtown san francisco, looking south, cloudy skies over the bay. two more storms, and next storm coming our way, tomorrow, starting to push in tonight and ranks one and produces rain in areas. forecast animation, we'll see rain up in the north bay, moving south ward into that narrow line of showers continuing to push south ward into afternoon hours, and ranked 2, 1 on sunday. that storm produces half an inch to an inch of rain, including

flooding risk in the north bay which is soaked now. starting at that storm at 11:00 tomorrow night. notice that early sunday we'll see rain pushing into larger areas of rain to the bay area that, will be more wide spread. by 11:00, sunday night, we project rainfall totals on top of what we project and two inches in santa rosa. inch and a half in napa and just above every other location so this storm reaches all parts of the bay area now. we do have flooding concerns until sunday at 5:00 p.m. because of the soil and creeks overnight, low temperatures and tomorrow, a rainy day at times, high temperatures from upper 50s to low 60s around the bay and
