carolina, trump is leading cruz by 10%. >> nominations for both parties could come down to california's primary in june. >> laura anthony is live in walnut creek with more. laura? >> reporter: for the first time in decades, california will likely matter. it is one of the last primaries in early june. and as we said, it could help decide the nominee for both parties. it's happening on the other side of the country. but it's being closely watched by many here in the bay area who still see a protracted drama, especially on the republican side that could play out all the way to california. >> the california race is interesting, it could matter in a way that no one really expected a few months ago. it's the last day of primaries. 303 delegates are at stake during the last day on june 7, and 174 of those from

california. >> reporter: in san francisco, there was this small anti-donald trump protest. >> this is the place, this is going to do it. >> reporter: he is expected to emerge the big winner in today's primaries. >> this country is not about us tearing one another done. >> reporter: but if john kasich wins ohio, the battle for the republican nomination could lead to a contested convention in july. >> it's a little troubling. it's always nicer when we're all on the other side. but competition is healthy, and the process will play itself out. >> i've gotten more votes than anybody. >> reporter: on the democratic side, polls show hillary clinton remains the favorite, though she may have issues in the midwest. >> bernie is the one to vote for. he's the sure winner against a trump candidacy. >> reporter: even if sanders loses his campaign is well

investigation, according to that report, 90% of the harassment was via text. assistant coach first made contact with his accuser in november of 2014. she told him as a reporter she met with coaches as part of her job. in this 23-page report, the woman, whose name is blacked out, requested to meet with the coach for coffee to gather information. she claims the coach frequently turned the text conferences into sexual innuendos. she testified in february of 2015, he insisted on going to a place called jupiter. she later drove him home after he told her he was too drunk to drive home and insisted she drive him. the report says she drove her car into the am garage. she claims the conference went like this, he said, you're coming up. no, i'm going to leave now. are you thinking i'm going to

have sex with you? yes, he answered. she responded, not going to happen. you and i are professional colleagues. not interested in you. she said she felt scared when she noticed the garage door was closed. in the same report, he says days before going to jupiter, he acknowledged texting her to go out after the game. she agreed. he says it was a sexual advance and in the back of my mind, i was like, obviously she's willing. he claims after she told him she wasn't interested, he drove her back to her car and that was the end of it. she says it was inappropriate but not sexual harassment. she claims she was let go because she could no longer cover the team properly. at uc berkeley, leanne melendez, "abc7 news." two new lawsuits accused a

bay area celebrity chef of labor violations and harassment. two of his former servers claim they had to endure inappropriate touches and comments. they say he directed his managers not to hire women unless they wanted to have sex with them. "abc7 news" has reached out to representatives. so far they have not returned our request for comments. breaking news. "abc7 news" is now projecting winners in the florida primaries on the democratic side, you can see hillary clinton is declared the winner with 65% of the vote. with bernie sanders' 33%. and donald trump is the projected winner for the republicans. marco rubio came in second in a must-win race, because that is his home state, which will raise lots of questions whether he'll

have to suspend his campaign. but you can see trump wins it with 45%. the man who led authorities on a high speed race last night is an uber driver. officers say he took off when they tried to pull him over for not turning off his high beams. the chase ended when he ran over a spike strip. officers still had to use a stun gun on him when he refused to surrender. he was alone in the car and it's unclear whether he was on duty. police in palo alto released this sketch of a man accused of exposing himself to a 13-year-old girl. the girl says she was walking her dogs when the man walked towards her and stopped to pet the dogs. the girl says the man then followed her for neary a block.

a campaign is under way to speed up the process for families to receive a coroner's report for a family member killed by police. the 39-year-old was shot and killed by oakland police officers near 90th and bancroft streets last november. the family says it took 3 1/2 months for them to hand over the coroner's report. >> we want the law changed to where it's no longer than 30 days. after a terrifying ordeal. she was in her company van when someone stole it. the suspect is john lamb who is now in custody.

janet o is live at the scene where this went down with the details. janet? >> reporter: lamb was booked on three felony counts. he ended up crashing the stolen van here and right in front of a cafe where city officials were meeting, they heard the crash and sprung into action. less than 24 hours ago, norm a gutierrez was in the back of her company's van. >> translator: he was speeding really fast and hitting cars and i thought, wait, wait, i need to get out of here. >> reporter: she thought he was another employee taking her home. she said she made a bold move. >> translator: i got the chance

to get out of the car and i jumped out. >> reporter: she escaped with a few scratches but is okay. the suspect, however, crashed in front of the cafe and found himself surrounded by city officials. >> i was able to help that kid, hold him and restrain him on the ground. >> reporter: this photo shows them holding down the suspect until police arrived. >> certainly those kids are the real heroes of the story. >> reporter: in san jose, janet o, "abc7 news." a quiet little restaurant may not be quiet anymore. >> we have early and late reservations. >> a bay area chef hard at work. bay area traffic is awful, but how bad is it really?

now details on that moving truck we were telling you about, stolen from san francisco two weeks ago. police found it in pacifica. yesterday, we told you how jeremy and his wife erin had just moved from san diego to san francisco when somebody took the fully loaded truck. it was a budget rental truck, from in front of their parent's home. police found the truck in pacifica, but everything inside was gone. >> oh, boy. >> yeah. friends and family have donated toys and furniture. vacant hotel in san jose will be converted into a homeless shelter.

our media partner, the mercury news, reports a housing nonprofit will manage the building under a five-year lease agreement. that hotel has sat empty since the city bought it in 2008. in san francisco, improvements will be made to a portion of lumbard street to make it safer for pedestrians and drivers. the plan includes building islands for me decembpedestrian. a homeless man who helped nab two criminals will get a hefty award. he spotted two southern california jail escapees in
