announced the nominee we sent out an alert on our news app, download it now so you can stay on top of breaking news. >> breaking news also in the east bay we have learned of the arrest of this man in the picture, accused of running over a six-year old boy in a stolen car early this month. the alameda county sheriff said that deputies arrested daniel morris early this morning as the super 8 motel on foothill boulevard in hayward accused of running away from the scene in castro valley march 7. he ran over the young boy near marshall elementary school pinning the boy's leg against a telephone pole. the c.h.p. said the car was one of several stolen from a livermore dealership and we will learn more detail of the arrest during a news conference this afternoon as the alameda county sheriff. you can get updates on that and break news by following us on twitter@abc7newsbayarea. good news if you try to get into san francisco this afternoon.

a crash on the bay bridge has cleared. you are looking at this stretch where you can see traffic is moving along fine, and during the heart of the morning commute we brought you a much different story as it unfolded. look at the scene just after 9:00 a.m. from the same camera, c.h.p. said that the three left lanes were blocked and all lanes were blocked after a make was splitting in the lanes and crashed with a car. he was on the ground and talking after the time. we now have an update. the motorcycle rider only has minor injuries. >> berkeley police are looking for the gunman who opened fire on a man and a woman as they sat in a scar overnightful. they are critically injured a block from the bart station. amy hollyfield? all the car has been towed away, and police have left the scene, but there is still evidence here that something terrible happened.

shattered glass from the bullets piercing the car end withs and hurting two people. >> the shops were fired at 1:00 this morning in berkeley. one of the victims set out to look for help. >> there were four or five gunshots and i looked out my front door and i saw a guy limping up the street. >> a man and a woman sitting in a a car had been shot. they both survived. but are in critical condition. berkeley police say it looks like they were targeted. >> at this point it is not clear what the motive was. but it does not appear random. >> the car has uber and lyft stickers in the window and will not say if it was related. a resident offers another possibility. >> i think had has been some drug dealing here over the years. i think people come here to do it and they get out.

it is convenient to the freeway. >> it happened next to the bart station. people were arriving to the station this morning they were shocked to see 9 crime tape and police. >> the neighborhood is quiet. people were surprised to hear someone was shot sitting in a car. >> police have not made arrests and do not have a subscription -- description of the gunman. >> foster child is raising troubles questions after 9 death, a two-year old was sent him to live with her dad in a home for recovering addicts. thed to already was medically fragile and requires specialized care for a birth defect. it is not confer exactly how she died. but her death is not being voted as a homicide. the girl's dad had been released from jail and struggled with rug problems when social workers placed her in his care.

>> new details on a deadly accident along highway 85 in los gatos. the c.h.p. said the body found on the off-ramp was 24-year-old -year-old woman, hit by two cars while walking along the highway around 10:45 last night. they do not know why she was on the road. >> today is four years since the disappearance of sierra lamar. the teen vanished in 2012 on the way to school while walking to her bus step. her body has never been found. but investigators say they found her hair and d.n.a. inside of of the car of garcia-torres accused of killing her. the trial is next month. >> there will be proposed changed to the county's trouble jail in santa clara. the sheriff smith has suggestions including membershipping guards coach with growing mentally ill population and increasing minimum qualifications for applications.

immediately. and the adult did everything right. she, the mom, took her daughter seriously, called 9-1-1 right away. >> the teen helped police create a sketch of a suspect described at white, between 25 and 30, average height, skinny, suntanned city council and scruffy black hair that went to 9 bottom of his neck. several tips have come in since the sketch was released and the biggest concern? escalation. >> indecent suppose use is is -- exposure is a bold crime by definition. >> this is the first case in palo alto this year but in 2015 reports were at a ten your high with ten from january to august and several more high profile cases in december. the palo alto unified school district spokesperson notified the administration that two schools including walter hayes elementary. the parents are aware of what is happening.

fuming, saying they have been late to work because the scheduled buses never showed up. the driver shortage is leading do canceled runs. officials are working to fix the problem include get the word out on social media when a bus is a no show. they are offering free rides on some routes. the system is struggling to fill driver openings created by retirement. >> riders have ridden a million miles in san francisco correctively, the shared electric scooters program launched in september of 2012 with only 35 scooters and today there are 400 scooters and packing available in garages and on the streets across the city. if you wanted it know, scooting a million miles in san francisco is like riding from south of market to ocean beach 142,857 times. >> i wondered and i am glad you did the math. >> we are soaked in sunshine

temperatures today through friday and may return on sunday evening and it will far below average early next week. today, though, 4-7 degrees warmer-than-average no matter what region or climate you are in today. a look at our high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s from santa cruz up the coast to half moon bay around san francisco and to san mateo, everyone else is about 70-74 degrees, and santa rosa and antioch the warmest. tonight, you have fog, and that is the best night for any fog to form radiation fog, that is, and temperatures are running in the mid-40s, upper 40s inland and unper 40s to low 50s an the bay and richmond and san francisco is warmer at 53. we go from "1" light to "5" severe on storm-impact scale and we will have up to .5" of rain. the models are becoming off on the rainfall. breezy on monday. just a "1" but it will come on sunday in the north bay after the sunset. and through monday morning. and notice how it is moving further to the north on monday
