live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> another morning of frustration on bart. man you had to find another way to get around. a section of the pittsburg line is closed for a second day. sky 7 is over the bus backup at two east bay stations. bart is flying in experts to figure out the mysterious power surge problems. i am natasha zouves. >> i am kristen sze. bart has discovered this morning twice as many train cars were damaged than originally thought. they work on a fix they run buses to transport commuters between the north concord and pittsburg/bay point station where tracks are shut down.

tiffany is concord with the latest. >> kristen we are through the bulk of the morning commute and buses are arriving from the pittsburg/bay point and a lot of the passengers getting off are not that upset simply saying it has had ten minutes. >> sky 7 had two bart stations that looked like bus terminals. >> leave early. still down. but, the parking is full already, too early for this. >> a power subject between pittsburg/bay point and the north concord martinez stations took 50 cars out of service yesterday. bart set up a bus bridge to ferry passengers between the stations last night and it continues this morning. >> it was well set up, they got plenty of buses for everyone. it wasn't that bad. >> passengers say the buses took 15 minutes to shuttle to north concord. when they arrived at the station another headache, with so many

cars in the repair shot the trains running to san francisco and oakland are fewer and less frequent. so it is a much more crowded commute. >> i hate bart. it is what it is. better than driving. >> the spokeswoman said crews and pg&e are running field tests. they are also flying in experts to analyze the track issue. it is similar to the voltage spike that impacted cars in the tube weeks ago. >> same symptoms but we do not know if it is the same cause. we are trying to get to the root of problem. >> the voltage spike does not impact safety. >> there could be a smoke but nothing to be concerned about. >> bart apologized for the frustration with the overcrowding and the delay. they have offered free parking at the north concord station to help those who have to dry here. right now there is no word on full service is returned.

people impacted by the trouble on the tracks are taking to twitter to voice frustration and bart is response responding, sometimes pretty bluntly. in fact, frankly, almost of the tweets are worth reading. look at this exchange, bart starts out by saying all of our efforts are focus on resolving electrical issues, apologies for the trouble and we are working on it. and a response was "how much does one need to apologize before you realize this is a terrible service and should no longer apologize." bart responding by saying, bart was built to trance for the far fewer people and much of our system has reached the end of its useful life. this is our reality. this is our reality, actually, trend on twitter. laura anthony is tracking the story and talk to passengers about the changes they want to see moving forward with reports

are caught police hope they will have to pay up for the repairs. police are investigating an attack that left a homeowner fighting for his live. three people busted into the door of a him on sacramento street. it happened after 11:00 last night. they found a 21-year-old man inside and held a gun to his head and demanded to see a safe. the victim was not hurt and said there is not a safe in his house. he does not think the suspects took anything. they got away in a car. the description is not released. >> the man suspected of kidnapping and killing sierra lamar will be in court. tops for garcia-torres want to see d.n.a. evidence that the case is built on. the teen disappeared four years ago. her body was never found. garcia-torres is scheduled to be on trial april 25.
