>> it's you sunday, march 20th. >> that for waking up with us. i'm chris nguyen. carolyn has the day off. let's start with a first look at the forecast. here's meteorologist lisa argen trackings the storm impact scale for us. hi, lease as you. >> hi, chris. we have two systems headed our way, bringing rain back to the bay area. light showers with less than a half-inch expected. the first one bringing had pivot and drizzle not only around the bay, but closer to the coast. and near west of cloverdale a few light showers. the shower activity will mainly be along northern california,

extreme northern california. but the tail end of it pushes through the bay area. so lathes rain begins in the north bay, spreading to the south. we will see most of the activity in the north bay before noon. so here's a look at the time frame. 10 california this morning right through cloverdale, and then at 11:00 still advancing to the south and east. we will talk about the second system and totals coming up. chris. >> lisa, thank you. you can use the news appear to track the weather and enable push alerts to receive breaking news and weather had. >> now to dublin, police say a sex ring was being operated out of an apartment complex. neighbors told us they didn't know what was going on, even after police and fbi agents raided the building on friday. abc7 news reporter defensively brinkley has for. >> here from the new luxury

apartment building across the street and the bart station a sex trafficking business operating out of an parts meant. >> that, on evidently? i'm flabbergasted. i don't know what to think now. something like that can be happening rate next door to me. >> they followed up on a tip about prostitution back in august. undercover officers and the fbi investigated. and on friday morning they stormed into six locations around the bay area with search warrants. they aarested 45-year-old curtis ng and 49-year-old shelly yu they are charged with pimping, pandering and conspiracyicy. fire young women, mostly from china, were rescued and dane to a women's shelters. two men were also arrested. >> this is very sophisticated as far as the operation portion of it and arranging everyone did locations. >> the locationings included sam mattio, hayward and san leandro.

police say the apartments were stashed with condoms and suitcases filled with lingerie, the rooms had mattresses on the floor and inscence. >> it is very surprising. >> you think this is is a nice building, a security building. it's concerning because how did they get in and out of the building? >> this could lead to more arrests and more victims. in dublin, aimlessly -- i am leslie brinkley, abc7 news. >> a car went out of control and slammed into a garage. it happened yesterday. it came within five feet from where a neighbor was standing. >> heard a car revving up and i was getting out of my car. turned around, it missed my car, swerved between the two and hit the building actually where i lived. >> he said the car then took off

the again into the garage door at the hope where it was originally parked. no one was hurt. the driver told witnesses there was a problem with the car's gas pedal. >> the chp has yet to release the name of a woman who fell 80 feet off an expressway. it happened on the winchester boulevard on-ramp to the expressway. the woman was on a scooter and all of a sudden gran would be bling. she'll hit the ground and tumbled to the wall below. she was not wearing identification. a walmart had to be evacuated after their solar panels caught on fire. it happened early yesterday. witness video showed smoke pouring from the roof but there were no reports of injuries. investigators are checking out the extent of the damage. if you see news happening where you live, take a picture or video using the #abc7 news and we may use it on ther.

police may be looking for a bank proper and may be connected to several other robberies in the area. police said he approached the u.s. bank teller and demanded money. police believe he's connected to robberies in the central valley and bay area, including pleasanton and concord. it's going to be more of the same for bart riders for at least another day as the agent i deals with an unexplained power outage. it took 55 trains out of service on wednesdays and bart is trying to recover using shorter trains. the problem is on the tracks between north concord and bay point, but engineers can't figure out what's causing a power surge that fries a particular part of a train. this morning drivers on the peninsula are dealing with a major shutdown. caltrans has closed part of highway 101 in burlingame to continue demolishing an overpass. the southbound lanes between

it will wind from downtown to rock ring, monte clare and fruitvale and back to oakland. you can find information online at our website abc7news.com. time now is k 5:17. what's the weather shaping up like for the runners out there? 7:10, the start time. >> and the first day of spring. >> finally here! >> i know. and temperatures mild in the 50s. you may get your head wet if you are out there early and the mist and drizzle will really increase throughout the morning hours. we are looking at some light rain well to the north. and the reason why? we have a weak system on the way. it's a 1 on our storm impact scale not only today but tomorrow, as well. it will bring lights showers and less than a half-inch of rain, and that really is focused this the north bay. south winds are kicking up, and that's why we have the mild temperatures. tomorrow's system a little bit stronger than today's system but we are only going to see the tail end of this system. so live doppler 7hd shows a few

showers by cloverdale, highway 101 and up towarda cya. we widen the area you will notice the area of green well to the north. the tail end will swing through the bay area today. the morning focus in the north bay, and then a chance of showers elsewhere throughout the day. here is the system. there's another one behind it. and that one will provide also not only rain for the bay area but sierra snow upwards to almost a foot in some spots. right now we are looking at temperatures in the 50s. 52 mountain view and oakland, as well as half moon bay. 48 in morgan hill. looks pretty still out there right now. but it is certainly damp in spots and fog not an issue. upper 40s for you in livermore. concord 54, as well as napa. 52 fairfield, and 53 in santa rosa. a few degrees warm we're the clouds, the south winds, mist and drizzle. then light rain spreading south and east throughout the day, mainly to the east. not much in the south bay.

and more showers in the afternoon tomorrow. so here's the plan for today. notice by 11:00 it's raining in sonoma county. just about raining in napa and marin county. this frontal band slowly sinks to the south and when it does it begins to fall apart. by 2:00, redwood city and mountain view just a chance. you notice the line gets senator and more diffuse. and then by 6:00 just a lot of clouds. a bits of a lull through the overnight hours, and by noontime tomorrow we have more rain, maybe some heavy downpours newspaper the north bay. by the afternoon notice a few breaks and a line of showers into the east bay and south bay. this will take us through the evening hours. the atmosphere a little bit unstable. but as we take a look at the totals, very, very lights totals for the first system. a couple hundredths, a tenth.

tomorrow afternoon. they both rate 1 on the storm impact scale. that means a weak system. lights showers arriving this morning in the north day. most spots you will see not only a half-inch but more like a couple hundredths to maybe .2. the main energy heading well up into northern california. we will begin to see some rain develop in the north bay throughout the morning hours. and then part of this system sinks to the south and east. that's when we all will get a chance of showers thought the bay area today. and through the afternoon this really begins to dissipate. the atmosphere dries out. then we will see another system slightly stronger for monday afternoon. so temperatures are mild, dewpoints are up. it feels a little bit sticky out there. so numbers are ranging on the very mild side from 54 half moon

bay in san francisco to 48 morgan hill. this is a look at sfo. 52 oakland and mountain view. we will have the south winds but the winds will really be up in the sierra nevada. here's a look at the roof camera. you notice the flags out of the southwest. the winds are blowing with 49 in livermore. it's 52 in fairfield, 53 santa rosa, about 54 concord, novato and napa. from our exploratorium camera, the ceilings are a little bit higher this morning. yesterday we had a hot of fog. and due to the close proximity to the front that's lifted the cloud cover and allowing for mist and drizzle this morning. light rain in the north bay, spreading south and east. most of us will see a chance of it. not everyone is going to see it reach the ground, become measurable. the one tomorrow looks like it has more in the way of dynamics and perhaps we will see more measurable rain for some of you tomorrow. 11:00 it looks like it's raining pretty good in cloverdale and santa rosa. look what happens as we go through the 2:00 hour. you see it toward i-80, a little bit in the east bay and

peninsula. and by the afternoon just a chance of showers east bay and south bay. that's about it for the first system. a lull in the overnight hours. and then by noontime more showers tomorrow. the afternoon looks like we will see wet weather from oakland and emeryville through perhaps san mateo, and then just a chance in the south bay again, right on through the evening hours. we will put the first system together and you notice scant amounts, anywhere from a couple hundredths to a ten in fact san francisco. the second system focused in the higher elevations in the north bay up to a third of an inch to three quarters of an inch and just over a tenth in san jose. winds will be blowing, and we do have a windser weather advisory from 11:00 tomorrow to 2:00 on tuesday. still looking at anywhere from a couple of inches to nearly a foot around donner and kirkwood and kiber. chains definitely in the fix if you are headed that way. highs today on the mild side. upper 50s coast, and upper
