live kgo-tv broadcast center, this is abc7 news. >> now at 11:00, a mother arrested. san francisco police say this woman left her two toddlers with a woman she barely knew. tonight she is in big trouble. i'm dune ashley. >> and i'm ama date. those toddlers are in cps custody after a day long search to find them. >> katie is live at san francisco police headquarters with the story. katie? >> dan and ama, the children seem to be okay, but there are still a lot of questions as to where they were and what they were doing for two days. they haven't returned them to their mother. the woman in this surveillance video is is -- of this woman walking in with two missing toddler in tow. st. francis released a statement saying our highly skilled emergency room nurses

and staff recognize the distress signs of these two children and, woulded quickly to -- worked quickly for their pro fex. the girls were the subject of an over night search and they were actually missing for more than two days. they say the 26-year-old from oakland asked her to watch her children and handed them off to her at a fast-food restaurant around 2:30 a.m. on monday. >> ms. jones left to meet her a few hours later at the carls junior located at eddie. >> reporter: they planned to meet, but they never showed up. >> after being interviewed ms. jones was booked on child endangerment charges and unrelated narcotics charges. >> reporter: chicita is not facing charges. >> lesson to be learned you don't drop your children off with an acquaintance.

they were yellow tagged and tonight the city denied a request by tenants who want to come back here. the city said with the bluff still crumbling below it is too dangerous. >> i hope you sleep well knowing you threw people out. >> reporter: there was anger from dozens of residents fighting to return to their home. the city ordered the cliff side apartment house evacuated last january and yellow tagged it. the cliff below was crumbling. >> there was no emergency reason for the city to do what they did. >> a former tenant believes the ground below the building is safe. >> there was never going to be a wholesale collapse of the bluff along 310 and so far i'm right. >> but pacifica's emergency preparedness and emergency commission say the cliff is unstable. >> they advised us that three cavities formed at the base of the cliff edge. >> the building's owner

child custody case. her foster parents took her in when she was just 17 months old. a family says the oakland catholic diocese is discriminating against their son who has special needs. anthony as autism. for three years he has been preparing to receive first communion in the catholic church. as part of his autism he is a picky eater and the diocese is concerned he won't eat the wafer, the eucharist. his family doesn't know if he will booy able to participate in the first communion service. >> it is a day that i revel in. i love him and i want to see him receive his sacraments. >> the oakland diocese will not comment, but when it comes to people with disabilities it is not discrimination. what we are trying to do is understand that person's particular situation and provide them with the necessary resources so they can fully receive the sacrament. tomorrow night on abc7 news at 11:00, an exclusive eye team follow-up to what

>> did will be beautiful, dan and ama. look at this time lapse from earlier tonight. at 7:25 the sun was going down from the east bay hills camera. it was spectacular. high clouds gave us a burst of color and of course we encourage you to send your weather pictures. # abc7 news. look at live doppler 7hd and we have some clouds passing through the bay area. the temperatures, they are starting to drop in the upper 40s for san ramon and livermore and napa and novato. tomorrow morning when you get going you will notice that it is going to start out on the cool side. the bay bridge is visible with the sutro tower. mild spring days in the weekend and a few clouds are expected on easter sunday. first thing in the morning when you do get going once again like this morning you will need that extra layer, a jacket or sweater. at least a light jacket or sweater because it will start out on the crisp side. low 40s to low 50s with patchy fog and high clouds around.

as we head too the latter part of the morning most areas will be in the 50s and 60s by noontime and heading into the afternoon it is nice and mild with sun and high clouds. low 70s inland and midto upper 60s along the coastline. a few spots near the immediate coast and it may remain in the 50s until later in the afternoon. by evening the temperatures start to come down a few degrees. it is still dry. tomorrow afternoon in the south bay, 73 in gilroy and 72 in san jose. these temperatures are running a little warmer than where they should be this time of year sunnyvale 70 degrees with menlo park. 69 redwood city and 68 san mateo and 63 in half moon bay. downtown san francisco, 65 degrees. daly city 62. and in the north bay you will see high cloud filtering the sunshine at times. 67 in san rafael and 71 santa rosa and beautiful day in oakland. inland spots will be on the

mild side. concord and walnut creek and pleasanton 71 degrees. now we go into friday and you will notice changes near the coast where it does cool thanks to a sea breeze. temperatures in the 60s there. 70s inland. warmer wind for your saturday will bump up the numbers to the mid70s inland. as we head toward easter the egg hunts will be fine. you won't see the paint of the eggs or the dye off the eggs. you don't have to worry about that. the temperatures will come down and the clouds will increase as you look at the accu-weather seven-day forecast on easter especially. i want to show you the mild pattern that is in affect on saturday. the temperatures drop on sunday for easter. and on monday it is cooler, but that system that was supposed to bring us maybe a shower or two now just looks like maybe a sprinkle or two on sunday night. p after that, dry.
