the department's facebook page. off duty, green is accuse of possessing and trying to sell sports car engines and other parts on craig's list charged with four chevy engines receiving stolen property and operating a chop shop. that is slang for an operation that sells parts. tyson green is 41, a resident of los gatos. a special theft task force began investigating him when a potential customer became suspicious. green stored engines and parts in a garage. investigators say they came from vehicles stolen all over the bay area, over the past two years. santa clara police chief says green has been on paid administrative leave. this is the latest of alleged crimes from the small

department. >> one day after that officer kit nguyen was arrested for allegedly shoplifting a watch and in 2010, officer clay rojas arrested on felony charges accused of giving confidential information to members of the hell's angels. the district attorney's office tells us that officer green could spend up to five years in prison if convicted. >> a suspicious looking metal box led police to close market street this afternoon. the. a sexually violent predator moved out of the motel weighs in this morning.

bates whereabouts, they say he has a chaperone 24 hours per day but say that is not enough. >> we have developments in the stabbing of a british tourist last month in san francisco. police released this video of the attack that shows the 44-year-old be chased by a robber on to post street. he was stabbed by a head. an african american man and woman took off with his bag and wallet. tam died yesterday. he had been in critical condition since the attack. the police association is offering a $5,000 reward in this attack. >> governor brownish yued 59 pardons to criminals in california. pardons only granted to former convicts that have shown major changes in their lives. today is the day former

state senator leland yee must surrender to federal custody but hasn't done so yet. a judge sentenced imto five years, fbi agents arrested yee and two dozen others, including raymond shrimp boy chow in a sweeping sting operation in 2014. u.s. marshal service tells abc7 news yee is not yet in custody. well, tonight, some asian americans are upset over a proposed bill that would require more of them to pro vad their ethnicity on higher education and state health care forms, chris nguyen has the story. >> this afternoon dozens of protestors the majority chinese american, came to share concerns. >> why that detail? what is the point? >> despite the diversity, agencies only breakdown data for a few groups assembly bill 1726

a cool 55 in half moon bay. this is how it looked from mount tam. looking towards ocean beach, mainly blue skies. 71 now in santa rosa. napa 66. 69 in fairfield. 70 in concord and livermore. here is the view from our east bay hills camera showing a few wisps of high clouds. it will be clear overnight, warmer tomorrow, and tomorrow may be the warmest day in the forecast period. remains dry and should be a pleasant day. temperatures will be taking a dip gunned and representative indicator of the temperature trend high this time of the year 68 degrees tomorrow, hitting 73 then, dropping off about five degrees sunday and another lower on monday and that will be the pattern we'll see around the bay area. then temperatures start to

climb again and by friday of next week we'll see temperatures back in the same range in today. overnight, looking for clear skies, low temperatures mid to upper 40s inland and upper 40s to low 50s around the bay and coast. and then tomorrow, we'll see highs from low to mid-60s on the coast to upper 60s and low 70s on the bay. mid to upper 70s inland. so 5:00 in tomorrow afternoon tomorrow night and into early morning sunday looking for maybe a spot of drizzly drops falling atop mount hamilton. after that we'll see that disappear, and the clouds which will have thickened will start to thin out a little bit and give us partly to mostly sunny afternoon sunday. so around the bay area we'll see highs reaching into low to mid-60s around the bay, upper 60s to low 70s inland and cooling down monday, highs into mid-60s inland, and same pattern

and then, there are those that continue to damage the sidewalk. the initial report calls for removing 35 trees and relocation of others but public works are still assessing the number. they'll replace one tree with another but not in the same spot. as those are made, the transportation agency will always be work a project ta calls for putting more stop signs and adding to guarantee safety along the corridor. meaning a lot of construction. so where trees will go up depends on the project. >> adding in additional planters to ensure that it is welcoming. >> other merchants say they don't trust what the city is doing. >> i would be skeptical of why they're trying to clean up to make it nicer or what they're trying to do with the trees.

and a couple from tennessee. >> it is with irreplaceable loss in mind that we will renew our vow to come together against the common enemy in order to keep our people safe. >> today there was a dramatic arrest of a man in a brussels tram stop. security forces shot the man and dragged him away. this was just one of several police operations happening throughout the belgian capitol. experts at stanford say they're surprised brussels was attacked. many had ties to a base described for jihadists. a gilroy man who posed as a baseball and bowling coach has been arrested and charged with sexual assaulting children.

breaking news in concord a child has been shot. sky 7 is live over baldwin park. the child is going to be transferred to a helicopter and taken to childrens hospital oakland. the shooting happened at the intersection of la salle avenue and we don't know the age or if he was shot by accident. we'll bring you more information as we get it here on abc7 news.
