50s. but by about 3:00, 4:00 in the afternoon we are in the low 70s from fremont to livermore, san jose and los gatos with the upper 60s to near 70 around the bay. we will talk about easter sunday and the cool down ahead come up. chris. >> thank you. an 8-year-old shot in the east bay. this morning we are learning he is out of surgery and expected to survive. the drive-by shooting happened at la salle avenue and carmel drive in concord. police are still looking for the suspect. here's abc7 news reporter melanie woodrow. >> concord police say the 8-year-old boy was playing in front of his own home when he was shot in his upper body. >> two white males in a silver honda drove up to the residence and sounded like they fired one single shot. >> from sky 7hd you see forensic investigators searching with

flash lights, searching for evidence. they do not know if the home was targeted, but they say they are familiar with the address. officers say they have been called out recently for various disturbances. >> we want to know why, why these guys would shoot, especially with children in front of the house. >> i really do hope he pulls through and is able to move on. and the family is able to continue to protect their children. >> police say the boy's family initially drove him to john muir medical center. from there he was taken by ambulance to children's hospital in oakland. >> with him being transported in the ambulance rather than air, that's usually a good sign. >> officers questioned family members and neighbors. >> it's the first of anything of this caliber to happen in this neighborhood. >> off-camera another neighbor described the 8-year-old as a beautiful little boy who was always outside playing. police say there was a female outside with him when he was shot. she was not hurt. in concord, melanie woodrow, abc7 news. >> berkeley police were involved in a standoff last night on

fairview near sacramento street. police say a man was alone inside the home. they sent out an alert around 11:30 last night saying the 1500 block of fairview has been cleared. no word on what caused the conflict. >> take a look at this video in san francisco. a man dashes into the street, desperately are trying to escape his robber. but the robber catches up and stabs him in the head. victim was 44-year-old man who died thursday after hanging on for a full month after the attack. sergio quintana tells us the police officer's association is now offering a $5,000 reward in the case. >> reporter: here's the surveillance video. you see the victim trying to get away from the attacker. he runs around an oncoming car but seems to trip and that's when the armed robber pounces. >> it looked like punches but it wasn't. he was actually carrying some

type of unknown object. >> the victim is from england. the project manager was visiting with a relative from southern california. we spoke to his family and neighbors requested privacy right now. it has neighbors shot. >> this is creepy. >> you hear about every once in a while something happening on van ness, a scuffle, but never a stabbing or a homicide. >> we noticed this is a busy area for tourists, so we showed some surveillance video. >> it is a little scary because there are so many people here from all over the place. >> although she is not seen, detectives said the man had an accomplice. >> the female is about 5'8", but she's described as having braids or long dreadlocks in a pony tail. >> police are asking people to check their surveillance video from february 189th to see if they might have images of the

pair. abc7 news. a burglar broke into the home of a san francisco sheriff's deputy and stole his gun and star. it happened yesterday morning in the city's visitation neighborhood. they took two magazine clips, a radio and a deputy duty belt. the gun and ammunition was in a lock box, but the entire box was stolen. another star belonging to a san francisco police officer was stolen. >> a santa clara police officer in the news this morning. prosecutors say tyson green has been fencing stolen car parts for years. he's accused of fencing tens of thousands of dollars of car parts related to a chop shop. they tell us if green is convicted, he faces more than five years in prison. >> reporter: officer tyson green has been a santa clara police officer for 14 years.

he lives in los gatos. and the district attorney's office said he's been dealing in car parts. >> four chevrolet camero engines were recovered from his garage. >> and they found more than a dozen car computers. the parts are worth more than $75,000. an auto theft task force began investigating green last january. that's when a man tried buying an engine from him on craig's list but became suspicious and called law enforcement. the task force says all the parts are from stolen cars taken from the bay area the last two years. >> anytime we have a person from law enforcement who we trusted, the public has entrusted to protect and serve, it's incredibly disappointing to see an individual from that community let the community as a whole down. >> the santa clara police chief released a statement saying in part, this is not a true reflection of the hardworking men and women of this department that serve and protect our community. but officer green's arrest

follows two others last year. in may a sergeant was arrested for allegedly exposing himself. and another was arrested for allegedly shoplifting a watch from a san jose target store. in san jose, katie marzullo, abc7 news. now to an i-team follow-up. last year dan noyes exposed a marin county gym owner who used fake military medals to get money for his business. dan's exclusive investigation led jim allen to federal court to face charges that he lied about winning that two purple hearts and a bronze star. allen pleaded not guilty. gary williams is a real vet who was in court. >> i know a lot of people who awards and paid a high price for paid a high price for them. and this guy is just a fraud. >> allen is facing a year in jail and a $100,000 fine. he will be back in court in may. another service disruption on bart is happening this

morning. the tracks will be closed between the san leandro and bay field stations for repairs. there will be a bus bridge today and tomorrow. the trains should be back on track for the monday morning commute. this is the first of six weekend closers planned for the line through june. oakland's cathedral of christ the light is warning parishioners need extra time to get to easter service if they plan to use bart. >> there's an eastern miracle of sorts for some san francisco nuns. according to "the chronicle," motivational speaker tony robbins bought a new building for the of nuns, who are facing eviction from their soup kitchen in the tenderloins. he paid $750,000 for a building down the street from the street in the mission. he stepped forward in february to prevent their' vehicles. -- to prevent their eviction. nuns say this is god's blessing. robbins said he will help them find a new place to live, as well. >> 6:08 is the time on this saturday morning. weather-wise, the temperatures sure have dropped a little bit

today. cooler for tomorrow. the coolest day of the week should be monday. still, a little bit below average perhaps on tuesday you before we see a rebound in temperature. so we will start with tomorrow. easter egg hunt, sunshine for easter sunday with some low 70s for concord and antioch. temperatures cool on the coast and they will be cooler tomorrow. today we pg&e 60s but tomorrow a slight drop off. some of you will barely notice it but you notice a breeze in parts of the bay. by monday even more lower 60s arrive from richmond to hayward. mid-60s for oakland and tuesday we are still in the 60s. it's seasonal and we will see another dry afternoon. but in terms of the week ahead, notice the warmest days today and the last day of the seven-day panel, 72 degrees in san jose and livermore next friday. so between it's the cool-down. >> 72 santa clara. peninsula look for sunshine but a breeze in the afternoon. upper 60s for you. and redwood city.

model, the fitbit surge, but that gives him a rash too. >>s i bought two and i have the same thing happening. >> i loved it when i first got it. >> deborah used it, but she said she got a rash, as well. >> it was yellow and oozy and started bleeding. >> they are among scores of users claiming the latest fitbit models caused an itchy, burning reaction. we counted more than 100 complaints filed with the consumer product safety commission. the latest posted just last week. >> i feel like there needed to be more safety done on this. >> an online search of #fitbit found even more complaints and photos like this one on twitter. this one say the fitbit surge has given me a rash. any fixes? and horrible, painful rash. any advice? >> basically all i want is for some answers and for fitbit to come forward with anything they know with what might cause this. >> they recalled a model two years ago after thousands of users broke out in burning rashes.

the company said it reduced nickel and removed adhesives that can contact the skin, two culprits suspected of causing rashes. but now continuing reports. >> the company should take a look at it and find out what's going on. the company responded to each complaint on the cpsc website with the same answer, saying, in part, fitbit is aware that skin irritation affects a very limited number of consumers who wear devices all day, all night. from sweat, water or soap. they also tell customers to wear it loosely and not all the time. users say that defeats the purpose and didn't help. >> i pulled over safety precaution and still to have all the blisters coming up. >> she saw a doctor and fitbit offered her a refund and refunded delvin for both trackers. fitbit told us as the as user base grows we check the number of reports for skin irritation.

>> the time is 6:30. thanks for joining us. i'm chris nguyen. we are waking up to some cool temperatures. here's meteorologist lisa argen. she's tracking the conditions where you live. hi, lisa. >> hi, chris. >> a beautiful shot from our suits tremendous tower camera. about 30 minutes from sunrise. you will see the clear skies here. it's in the low 60s in san francisco. but over into our inland east bay it's quite hill. morgan hill 45 degrees. good morning, oakland. 50 for you, as well as half moon bay. and from mt. tam, yeah, that's a nice shot with numbers from the mid-40s in napa to about 54 in novato. livermore bottoming out at 42 degrees, the cool spot this morning. without that wind temperatures are cool and we are looking five to ten degrees cooler from hayward to livermore. and it's warmer with the northerly winds. so the offshore winds will be the key to the forecast today to warm us up.

once again to above afternoon readings. in the low 70s for san jose and livermore. chris. >> lisa, thank you. in europe, the hunt continues for two suspects in tuesday's terror attacks in brussels. we've also learned identities of the new york siblings killed in one of of the attacks. abc news reporter marcy gonzales has the latest on the investigation. >> dramatic raids and arrests in belgium, including this tense take-down. a man refusing to drop his bag, shot by police. a young girl by his side running to safety as a bomb team moves in. authorities still not saying who he is or whether he's connected to the deadly attacks in brussels. this, as belgium officials confirm one of the suicide bombers who targeted the airport also built the bombs used in the paris attack and the apartment he used in belgium,

authorities finding 30 pounds of explosives, a suitcase of nails and screws, likely shrapnel for bombs, and an isis flag. he and a man next to him died in the bombing, but a third man here, one of two terrorists on the run, responsible for this. the horrific aftermath of the scene where new york residents alexander and sasha were among those killed. the dutch brother and sister pictured here on facebook on the phone with their mother when the bombs went off. still missing, this couple from tennessee, justin and stephanie schultz, and among the injured survivors, american missionary mason wells. >> we were really close. i feel lucky to have escaped with what i did. >> and the state department said two americans are among the dead. their names have still not been released. abc news, new york. pop star mariah carey has cancelled her concert
