abc7 news begins with breaking news. >> the breaking news is in berkeley right now. a person is lodged under an a.c. transit bus this morning. sky 7 is over the scene right now. can you see the bus is still stopped dug the police investigation. >> we want to show you exactly where it is happening. it is at the intersection of shattuck avenue not far from the uc berkeley campus. back to sky 7, a.c. transit said the person was standing near the bus after 10:00 this morning. they had a medical emergency and slipped between that bus and the curb. the person was rescued. they were rushed to a hospital for treatment. >> we will is updates on the

idea of lgbtq appreciate week in san ramon. the administration sent an e-mail about the curriculum some protested. they created a petition asking it only be a day, not a week. their concern is it would humiliate those who do not agree with the campaign. the school met with parents and agreed to modify the lesson but the week is still on. >> this is a message that peers want get to their peers to snake sure everyone feels comfort am. >> we spoke with dozens of parents. two felt uncomfortable and everyone else supported it. >> i am against it. yes. i don't know how to express it, but it is kind of hard. >> i don't in it is indickist community, but it is not a problem and here we are. >> it is just a good way to

inform the kids of certain issues. >> it is part of society. as we are now. it is good though are aware of itful -- aware of it. the school district is hoping to avoid the walk out saying it is an ongoing and open conversation. the parents have the right to pull their kids out of curriculum they don't agree with. thank you. the santa rosa school district has been slapped with a lawsuit after an alleged sexual assault. a federal pioneer high school student and her mother finalled the lawsuit accusing the district of failing to protect the student who said she was assaulted by a male classmate who previously taunted and took photos of her. the girl claim she complained to officials. first incident. he was arrested after the second incident. >> this morning, santa clara police are investigating a car

brandished a handgun at an officer would then opened fire. that man was not seriously hurt. he was later arrested. >> check this out, police have had a huge marijuana bust. norths officers were serving a warrant on a husband and they uncovered a large scale growiation. this is more than 400 plants were this that were seized with estimated street value of over $375,000. >> developing news in oakland, message crews had to use the jaws of life to rescue a man from a serious crash at fairfax avenue. it appears the driver was speeding going up 100 miles per hour and he lost control and plowed into the pole. he was taken to the hospital with moderate to critical injuries. >> two people killed after crashing the s.u.v. into a fighter jet in the central valley, both from the south bay. this is a picture of a victim.

starting today. the city at half moon bay will see sales tax drop from 9.5 to 9 in south fraction sales tax go up half a percent as a result of voter approved initiative. governor brown is promising to sign legislation that will give california the highest minimum wage. state lawmakers areserved the bill yesterday raiding it the minimum wage to $10.50, and goes up a dollar a year until it reaps $15 an hour in 2022. >> tesla c.e.o. elon musk said the future of electric cars is looking bright. if you missed the reveal here is the new model 3 looks like, the affordable model. there were nearly 200,000 pre-orders in 24 hours. that is about 7.5 billion

they are not old enough to be fixed yet. these kittens are lucky enough to be in a loving foster home, temporary home. >> can you see how well behaved. >> they are living with dogs right new. >> in kidding. >> they get along with the dogs. they will come back to the shoal step in a few weeks. they will then be available. we are looking for other temporary homes for all of the kittens that need that. to be a foster parent you do not have to be home full time. can you set them up. you can certainly if you take them to work that is a plus because they are socialized. you can set them up and come home and check on them and they are fine. >> you have a class on sunday, plus you have a blog on wait means to be a foster and for kids that maybe do not want a pet permanently, but want to help out anyway. >> exactly. >> so we have these five, at least, that are a couple of weeks away and there will be hundreds more so call the humane
