live from the kgo-tv broadcast center, this is abc7 news. >> now at 11:00, the bay area is bracing for a warm up. this is our live picture from the abc7 news roof camera. we are hours away from record temperatures in what is shaping up to be the hottest day we have had in months. good evening. i'm dan ashley. ama daetz is off. let's get to meteorologist sandhya patel and live doppler 7hd. sandhya, you are warming up dramatically. >> so much so it will feel like summer in parts of the bay area. let's show you a live picture. it is stunning tonight and under clear skies. here are the records for wednesday. san francisco is not expected to be a record. 83 degrees and you notice the record is high. a tie is expected at oakland. san rafael is expected to break a record at 89 and livermore and gilroy is expected to be new records for the day and coming in the low

>> they lined up for hours. the front runners in both parties are fighting an uphill battle. >> donald trump in a last-ditch effort to catch ted cruz pulling out all of the stops. it wasn't enough. >> breaking news for the white house. >> and ted cruz has defeated donald trump in the gop primary. >> cruz claiming the win and making it much more difficult for trump to get enough delegates to avoid a contested convention. >> either before cleveland or at the convention in cleveland together we will win a majority of the delegates. >> the third man in the gop race, john kasich trailing behind them. >> we won in wisconsin. >> bernie sanders is claiming victory. he projects he will beat hillary clinton in the badger state. >> we have now won seven out of eight of the last caucuses.

rural area in sonoma county. that's after a petaluma hotel canceled his room last week and then a motel in row -- roanoke park refused to rent to him. >> new at 11:00, as uc berkeley deals with a imroaing number of sexual harassment cases it has been revealed that seven employees were preif -- previously fired for sexual harassment. records obtained show seven staff members lost their jobs and four others were disciplined for sexual harassment. incidents dating back to 2011 include comments about male and female body parts and sexual body parts. a high school coach was put on paid leave. administrators formed a committee to address this issue. new details on a story abc7 news first told you about on monday. there is now a decision on on whether a san francisco porn

company can turn their studio into a large scale concert venue. katie is live with the outcome. >> yes, the army got their permit. the entertainment commission cannot dictate what kind of concerts they hold there. but they can restrict the hours and that's also what they did. >> the motion passes. >> it took a few tries, but six commissioners agreed on the days and the hours the armory can operate concerts. sunday through wednesday until 11:00 p.m. and thursday until midnight and friday and saturday and holidays until 2:00 a.m. the armory ceo says it is workable. >> she worried there will be events every night. that's not the reality. there will be events happening more often than before. >> the armory's desire to move from pornography studio has been met with opposition by people who live nearby and

campaign launches tomorrow called don't erase india. it is an effort to preventy references -- prevent references from india and hinduism to be taken out of reference books. >> right here there is just a guy taking out his trash. >> these south bay teenagers don't like the way india and hindus are portrayed in junior high textbooks. they are worried that things could get worse. a group of south asian study scholars proposed 75 edits to the california public school history books for 6th and seventh graders. they are referring it to south asia and hinduism a religion of ancient india. >> there is an attempt to erase the contributions of indian history and civilization. >> i reached out to several callers and none of them were

returned. >> they got the state's board of education to throw out the proposed changes. right now 35 pages are dedicated to india and hinduism. if things change it will be replaced by southeast asia. >> i am honestly shocked as to why india and hinduism is being held to what i think is a double standard. we don't refer to the greeks as being part of southeastern europe. >> they will decide whether to adopt the changes in may abc7 news. >> cal trans is now turning to the federal government for help to find weak spots in the tunnel. there is a photo from cal trans showing engineers from the federal highway administration using ground penetrating radar to penetrate the walls in the tunnel. in february a chunk of concrete fell damaging a

passing car and narrowly missing the driver. we reported on that at the time. cal trans blamed the weak spots on corrosion by rainwater, but they say there is no immediate danger to drivers. it could cost you more to ride muni. they would charge cash customers 25 cents more per ride and it would raise fares to $2.50 unless you use a clipper card. it is not a done deal yet and they still have to approve the budget. we'll let you know. >> back now and talking about some heat coming. sandhya patel is tracking that and we hope some rain. >> yeah, dan. it looks like we will get a little bit of everything this week as we look at the accu-weather seven-day forecast. right now it is clear and take a look at those temperatures. it is still real mild. many areas in the 50s and the 60s are remaining some of the heat from earlier today. the oakland airport was a record at 79 degrees.

it is just about everyone in the 70s and the 80s today that's not warm enough for you, don't worry. we will crank up the heat tomorrow. from our exploratorium camera at pier15, we are looking back toward the trans america pyramid and a beautiful view of the san francisco skyline. record highs are likely tomorrow. the temperatures will tumble and there is a chance of showers on friday and saturday. tomorrow morning we will start out with mild conditions in the inland east bay. the coolest spots will be in the north bay valleys and we are expecting the temperatures to drop to the 34eud -- midand upper 40s and around morgan hill. we are expecting the clear skies to start off and the temperatures are going to rise rapidly. it is going to be a hot day. the asterisk is indicating where we expect records. 93 in the south bay and 91 morgan hill and san jose and cupertino. 84 in santa cruz and 89 in sunnyvale. are you looking at 91 in redwood city. 88 in san mateo. 80 degrees in half moon bay. a pretty warm day and you will need to stay hydrated and stay

cool. daly city, 78 degrees. 83 in downtown san francisco. look at these temperatures. low 90s for napa and novato and santa rosa. it is hard to believe. expected to be a record. oakland, richmond, mid80s. 90 in fremont. head inland and you will be in the low to mid-nineties in many areas. 92 livermore and 94 antioch and 90 in concord and san ramon. as we mentioned, don't get too used to it. much cooler weather will arrive on thursday. the temperatures will drop a good 15 to 20 degrees. the warmest spots will be in the mid70s. much cooler and the cooling continues on friday. temperatures in the 60s primarily and even the possibility of some showers. the storm impact scale comes in and we rate the systems from one to five. five is light. this saturday is a one and it will bring scattered light showers and less than a quarter of an inch expected. here is a time line. on friday morning we will see the possibility of a few scattered showers into

saturday morning. and then around 10:00 a.m. we are still looking at green on the screen here. by saturday evening it winds down, but there is a lingering chance of a few showers on sunday. here are the rainfall totals, but it isen urge couraging to see april showers. a quarter of an inch is expected in the wettest locations. we will feature the hot weather and potential for records tomorrow. mid-nineties for the hottest spots. much cooler on thursday and we bring in the fog and then we bring in the potential for showers. friday and saturday both one on the storm impact scale a slight possibility of showers on sunday and still no model agreement on tuesday and we will put in a chance of
