day. a steady stream of showers make for a soggy saturday. we have live team coverage on this el niño fueled rain beginning with drew tuma. >> through rain gear needed today. more showers move through the bay area. live doppler 7hd, i want to press in closer to street level. more moderate pockets of rain. this is the yellow and deeper oranges. parts of marin county, the golden gate bridge, and the marina are dealing with persistent moderate to light showers at the hour, and storm is not over yet. the storm impact scale, still right in the storm, a one. a light storm, up to half inch of additional rain with the scatters showers and the showers are going to continue for the second half of your weekend. we'll go hour-by-hour and show you when the rain will finally exit in the fuel forecast.

of an overturned suv in san rafael. slick pavement was to blame. the driver was not hurt in mill valley this oak tree toppled on to power lines, until pg&e could shut the power off. and this tree fell on utility line's 0 in lafayette, knocking out power to an entire neighborhood. >> cherry blossom festival in japan town off to a wet start. food vendors got creative aluminum foil. >> what can you do, work harder. >> organizers hope the crowds and sun will return on sunday inch san francisco, abc7~news. >> rain may have played a role in this deadly accident. the driver of this mercedes died after losing control in the rain on westbound 580. it happened last night just before midnight. chp says the driver was 61-year-old man from oakland.

>> surveillance video shows the moment police officers shot gongora. he is off screen on the right. this is a large kitchen knife he was said to be carrying. a gunman opened fire on a group of people on an oakland sidewalk, killing a 34-year-old man. oakland police say he was the only one hit by gunfire. it happened at 4:30 this morning in the fruitvale district. there have been no arrests. a return from the ruins where people gathered for a special grand re-opening today. the oldest stone structure, home to a wine-tasting bar re-open after the facade crumbled during the earthquake in august 2014. the building was red tagged for four months and it's taken this long to get the structure completely repaired. well, president obama wrapped up a whirlwind 24 hour visit to the bay area.

berkeley a woman says someone stole this bicycle and along with it her memories. the reds bike wag unlocked outside the derby food center on college avenue monday night. the owner says a former boyfriend, who has since died, custom built it for her and pandsed her name and e-mail address on the frame. she calls it irreplaceable. the thief left a green bike in its place. a man climbed a 600 foots rock and had to be rescue bid helicopter in the name of love. it happened on thursday. todd banks broke the law by climbing up there, all to record a cell phone video marriage proposal to his government. this is what motivated his decision. >> this rock is the rock i would
