>> abc7 news begins with breaking news. >> this is video officer sky 7 a fire in san francisco's mission district. two firefighters are hurt. they battled the flames and were injured. >> we got word the fire has been contained. it burned at 24th next to a gas station. >> huge plumes of smoke throughout the mission district. amy hollyfield is at the scene. amy? >> look at the fire behind me. it is out. you can see the damage. a melted light people and look at the damage to the building.

the apartment building, the become of it, in the alley, the front doors face san jose avenue in the mission with 12 units inside the building and severe damage inside. i want to show you cell phone video of the fire sent in by a viewer, firefighters got the calm at 9:28, it took an hour to get the fire out they faced a lot the fire at first floor. it was headed up the building. we have video from joe who sent us what he saw from his point. 12 units inside the building and it is a wood frame so it was moving fast. all of the residents are okay and got out fine but some firefighters were hurt. >> we had two minor injuries, with including a minor cut happened and bloody nose and the crews performed to the expected standards. >> there was another fire in the

mission yesterday, and the firefighters say they think that is a coincidence, and they do not thing they are related. they do say that the people living here will not be allow dead move back in for a while, there is a lot of damage on all floors and they had to turn off the gas and electricity with 15 people during the day they are not sure who is at work and how many will be affected but at least 15. they say they do not know the cause of the fire or the origin, that is something they will focus on soon. >> the rain has coming down off-and-on, this is what it lose like in san jose at west mission and north san pedro a few hours ago. we will look at our east bays hills camera, you can see the raindrops on the lens and what is ahead? we will go to meteorologist mike nicco with the latest. >> thank you. good morning, everyone.

gathered to celebrate years of transportation investment, and after the transportation board started a workshop on the future, they are considering put open a half cent sales tax measure on the november ballot, possibly raising $6 billion over 30 years and that could lead to billions more from the state and federal government. today, the board is looking at potential projects including the bart extension into downtown san jose and on to santa clara with improvements to thes have way and highways and more frequent bus service. >> it is a mix of things that we think will enhance the ability to move goods and services and people in a safe way here. >> the board will decide in it will put the seams tax measure on the ballot in july that would go to voters in november and require as two-thirds majority to pass. >> thank you, matt. a controversy over body cameras takes center stage in san jose and some residents are not happy about part of the plan to being quip officers.
