it moved across lake berriessa. sandhya patel is here with the latest. >> ama, as we look at live doppler 7hd you will notice a different scene. it is a quiet picture right now. a few clouds around and that's about it. you take back the radar to the afternoon hours when we saw those thunderstorms develop from vacaville and fairfield and dumped some hail across parts of the bay area and we even have heavy rain reports in the vacaville area. now a different pattern is setting up toward your weekend. i'll be back to detail it out coming up. ama? >> thank you, sandhya. the video near fairfield shows lightning. you can see the wind whipping through the field. this video was shot around 4:00 this afternoon. in stanislaus county, the sheriff's department took this video after reportses of a tornado in waterford. shortly after that a hail storm swept through the valley home area. you can see it looks a lot like snow out there on the street. >> this is actually snow.

camry. he is still on the run. abc7 news was there as police showed up to the apartments where the victim works. a dozen officers went to the home believed to be the victim. no one was arrested. the victim is eight months pregnant. both she and her unborn baby are expected to be okay. new at 11:00, the chancellor of uc davis has been put on leave tonight in connection with a cover up of the school's pepper spray scandal. the university system says it will launch an investigation into chancellor linda's response to the incident. she admits they hired a firm to bury references in on-line searches to this pepper spray incident involving campus police in 2011. in the south bay a well-liked gilroy high school teacher is accused of kt fishing. using a fake on-line persona to lure somebody into a relationship. >> police say douglas lay cat feshed minors and received

illicit photos from them. here are the details. >> reporter: douglas lay was teaching chemistry when he got a call and abruptly left the room. students didn't know what to think. turns out police showed up to question him whom they arrested for two felony counts of enticement. >> it is the news of the school. >> reporter: students are shocked and have a hard time their teacher has posed as a female on social media where he allegedly convinced minors to send illicit photos of themselves. >> he goes into detail and explains things well. i don't know. i think he is a good teacher and i didn't see anything wrong with him. >> reporter: it is unclear if he contacted students. he made have made an off color remark or two, but nothing that lead them to believe he would do anything criminal. >> i personally don't think he did it. he is too much of a smart guy to actually do a crime like

petaluma, this is abc7 news. >> for weeks we have been telling you about counterfeit prescription pills showing up in the sacramento area leading to deadly over doses. a bay area health department says the painkillers are mow in the bay area. now in the bay area. here is katie mar -- marzullo. >> four people have over dosed on counter at this time prescriptions laced with fept -- fentanyl. >> 50 times more potent than the medications people are prescribed. >> they are buying the counterfeit pills on the street and they think they are taking the painkiller, norco.

>> they have a tails sense of security -- they have a false sense of security. >> they are distributing warning fliers to needle exchange programs like this one, emergency rooms, clinics and high schools. overdoses have been reported across the bay area. in sacramento 12 deaths from been linked to fentanyl since late march. the hiv education and prevention project says this is nothing new. >> there is always a wave i guess you could say of this incident occurring where drugs are laced with something that can kill. >> she said a tool exists that can help. a drug that treats overdose in an emergency. >> active substance users near near -- need access to narcan, their support network. that will address the issue and reduce death. >> health officials urge people only take medication purchased from a licensed
