needed to win. we first told you about the election results with push alerts from the abc7 news app. download the app to enable breaking muse as that happens. a police chase that started in san francisco came to an end moments ago in mountain view. a group of patrol car following the suspect on highway 101 in palo alto. the chase started when san francisco police tried to pull over the stolen car. officer ultimately used a spike strip to puncture the tires and slow the vehicle down. they shutdown all lanes to make the arrest. >> a cal train hit and killed a pedestrian in sunnyvale tonight. it happened late this evening on the southbound tracks near mary and evelyn avenue. all southbound trains were stopped during the response and some trains are still running late. >> hundred of protesters were on the move. they marched to city hall on behalf of five hunger strykers demanding police chief be

fired. it later came to a synagogue and that's where katie is live with the story. >> the plan was for the protesters to come here where the police chief was scheduled to participate in a forum on police accountability. but the chief canceled. >> are you a coward. >> protesters were furious after finding out the police chief was not showing up for a forum on police accountability. >> this is a day of rec -- rec coning for the city. people are angry and people are upset and enough is enough. >> protesters want him fired. they also want an independent investigation into the deadly police shooting. he was also scheduled to be on the panel and he showed up but he wouldn't comment on the chief's absence. >> i was president here to attack the police department. >> the synagogue invited the demonstrators in for a

conversation saying the forum was canceled. >> there are securities concerned significant enough we were advised not to have the program as planned. >> they would not say who advised them to cancel. >> this change is going to happen with or without sfpd. >> we reached out for comment. >> earlier in the day mayor ed leigh was the focus of the protest. a thousand people rallied at city hall in support of a small group of hunger strykers who are also calling for the police chief to be fired. mayor leigh was president there. mayor lee wasn't there. >> in developing news we are learning more about the navy seal killed by isis in iraq. charlie keating the fourth was based out of san diego. he is the grandson of charles keating, junior. the central figure in the 1980s savings and loan scandal. they say keating was killed by small arms fire suggesting isis fighters likely came

within a few hundred yards of u.s. forces. ask most tenants in the bay area and they say their rent is too high and that includes the san francisco 49er. the team is taking on its landlord. >> reporter: the 49ers are making bold moves on and off and the field. today the team managers filed foir arbitration against the host city, santa clara. it is over how much rent to pay. the 49ers paid $24.5 million and the contract calls for a one-time rent reset based on debt expenseses and revenues. expenses and revenues. >> in simple terms debt was higher rent should go up. >> the team claims their debt is down and revenues from things like concerts and events is way up. that's why they want their new rent to be 22.5 million. the city staff also recommended the city council take the deal but they didn't.

san rafael, south bay and all of the bay area, this is abc7 news. >> developing news tonight. flames and thick smoke engulfing an entire city in alberta, canada where a wildfire has forced all 60,000 residents to evacuate. you are seeing one man's desperate effort to escape the fire. all gas stations in the city have rine out of fuel -- have

run out of fuel. the city's only hospital evacuated all 105 patients. the fire started on sunday and has destroyed a number of homes and it is still a huge crisis. a big fundraising campaign for east bay nonprofits. it will be extented after the website had technical issues. east bay gives urges people to donate and thousands more across the nation. crowd funding company kimbia apologized. to make up for the downtime the fundraising will continue through tomorrow. a cosmetic technique is raising eyebrows in a good way. it is a method of creating semipermanent eyebrows without the marking pen of traditional eyebrow tattooing. she has a problem with her eyebrows. >> what i don't like is that i don't have any. >> while mother nature may have shorted her she is hoping to close the gap with a unique variation of a procedure called

microblading. in the montclair neighborhood they are preparing the tools she will use to thicken the look of the eyebrows. clients typically feel a light scratching sensation and though the technique uses ink, the results are a world away from the thick, flat eyebrowing tattooing of the past. >> you won't be able to tell she has it done. they looked at them with the big line on their face. >> with microblading they feather delicate cuts to qhanl the -- to channel the ink. the goal is to create the illusion of individual hairs. she said this version takes the technique even further. the pens are made up of tiny needles. over the course of the procedure she will alternate her stroke feathers up and tapping down. >> it is like shadowing. >> so actually when you look

you will notice as we head toward wednesday night a few showers may be popping up along the coastline. going into thursday morning the commute could include damp roadways at 6:00 a.m. it is scattered in nature. a hit or miss shower into noontime on thursday. and then thursday afternoon around 3:00 p.m. we are starting to see a little yellow there near mount hamilton. we could see an isolated thunderstorm or two develop. thursday night things are winding down but not for long. as we head toward friday morning, a few more showers are developing at 5:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. it looks like a little more coverage and we continue with the potential for some thunderstorms on friday afternoon about 2:00 p.m. you will notice pockets of moderate rain. scattered showers and this lingers going into saturday morning and perhaps into saturday afternoon. the reason why is the low-pressure system that will bring us the rain chances it will sit near the california coast and eventually head into southern california but until it moves into southern
