broadcast center this is abc news. >> bullet holes in an antioch police cruiser and an officer hit and september to the hospital. i'm dan ashley. >> and i'm ama dates. it started with a carjacking in bay point. >> it ended after a police pursuit and shooting at love ridge circle and leyland road in pittsburgh. >> it is all connected to another crime that happened just hours earlier. >> melanie woodrow is live with this developing story. melanie? >> ama and dan, five hours after this got going investigators are still on the scene marking and collecting evidence. the antioch police officer who has been shot has already been treated and released from the hospital. tonight the suspect is this custody. antioch police say this hang -- mangled black bmw was stolen. reporting came in just before 6:00 p.m. less than 15 minutes later they spotted the suspect. they say a man armed with a shotgun.

the high speed pursuit ended at love ridge road. >> i heard a car crash and i ran over and l is smoke everywhere. i heard gunshots and i hit the floor. there was about 15 gunshots. >> an officer approached the suspect who began shooting hitting one officer of. >> it is pretty wild. >> you can see two bullet holes in the windshield of the police cruiser. the suspect was not hit but surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. antioch police say they are not identifying the officer or the suspect at this time. the officer was treated and released from the hospital. three other people were also injured. you can see one person here on a stretcher. law enforcement sources say the man taken into custody is the same suspect involved in an earlier mcdonalds drive through shooting. it was in antioch. a man in his 20s who was not the inend ited victim had minor gunshot wounds, but did not go to the hospital. back in pittsburgh evidence

markers covered the intersection that was closed for hours. abc7 news. >> san francisco police are carrying a new weapon. he is now requiring officers to carry three-foot long batons to certain calls. uniformed officerses will carry 36-inch batons on calls for homeless people, people in crisis and people with weapons other than a gun. he has long advocated that it is a leslie that will way to disarm people. they believe twin brotherses are response believe a for a bb gun attack. they were expected to turn themselves in and they never did. police say they used a bb gun to shoot at a woman last month. they may also be connected to similar attacks here along the 880 corridor. there have been more than 125 bb gun shootings in san leandro since december. now new details on the death of prince. they confirm the painkiller percocet was found in his

a heart condition. three seeking a hospital that will approve the little girl for a heart transplant. katie is live at ucsf with the story. katie? >> dan, as of right now, the 7-month-old baby girl is scheduled to be taken off life support on friday. but her mother says she is not giving up until she has tried everything. >> her smile is just -- it melts you. she has the most beautiful smile. >> she was born with hypoplastic heart syndrome. she has a rare case and needing a heart transplant so young. >> the majority of kids don't need it until they are 18 years old. >> her mother says ucsf, ucla and stanford have rejected her for a transplant saying her body would reject the new heart. she is counting on an opinion from boston university hospital which could come on thursday. >> best case scenario is they

jose and all of the bay area, this is abc7 news. developing news this rapidly growing wildfire in canada has lead to a state of emergency in alberta. the flames chased more than 80,000 people from their homes. the fire is spreading so quickly it forced people from an evacuation center out. 1600 structures have been lost

-- over the neck three day. it shows you the cloud cover and as we look at those temperatures, they are really mild because of the clouds. 50s and 60s you right now across the entire bay area. from the emeryville camera we are looking across the bay and visibility is just fine. a chance of showers through saturday. isolated thunder is possible. bringing the storm impact scale we have been rating the storms all winter and spring. one is light and most of the systems have been one's and two's. the incoming storm is a one. it will keep the possibility through saturday. we are looking at the potential for the wettest spots and the thunderstorms develop and could drop some hail. keep that in mind. here is a look at the hour by hour time line. we are looking at just clouds. heading into your morning commute, isolated showers may show up at 5:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. a few showers across san francisco heading into the east bay.

at 9:00 a.m. they are still in the same general vicinity and then we head toward the afternoon hours. around noon if you are grabbing lunch have your umbrella. 2:00 p.m. you are looking at a little more activity and then 5:00 p.m. most of the showers are over the hill across the bay area. you get a little break and lull and then it picks up. on friday we are noticing some slick roadway. 8:00 a.m. the showers are still going and then you notice the little bid of -- the little bit of red showing up, those are the thunderstorms between ukiah and santa rosa. heavy pockets not out of the question. at 3:00 p.m. the showers begin to move southward and they continue for the evening get away on friday. you will notice the showers start to taper by 8:00 and only to continue on saturday. most of the morning will be okay and then we will see the showers again. the system that is off the coast and bring the shower

chances eventually will move into southern california. until it does it will sit there and send moisture in our direction. it is a hit or miss kind of situation as far as showers for some of you. rainfall totals will look like this. these are getting updated. half an inch for our wettest spots. and then tomorrow morning when you get going it will be mild. temperature in the low to mid50s. it has been pretty mild the last couple days because of the cloud cover and we'll keep that going. afternoon highs will continue to drop over today's highs. we continue with the cool down. upper 50s to the low 70s inland. if you are going to the giants' game tomorrow night against the rockies, i'll go with mostly cloudy skies and upper 50s to mid50s by the time the game is over. a chance of showers is not out of the question. just take your slicker in case. the accu-weather seven-day forecast, one on the storm impact scale for the next three days, the shower chanceses will continue. for the second half of the weekend it is going to be dry in case
